With EB, there is no garauntee of a specific spot (A15-30, etc,). Unless, there was a glitch, you received a boarding number lower than if you would not have purchased it. If tons of people purchase EB on any one flight, this will happen (there is a limit to "A"). However, you should have been ahead of anyone who used the "mad-dash-24-hour-prior method." Unless you talked to people ahead of you in line, it's hard to know if it "worked." You might have been the last EB in line.

nsx, refer back to HRDiva's post 49, and another thread where she elaborated. She got B-29 after buying EBCI ahead of T-36. One would first question there being that many A-listers ahead of her, and there being that many who cancelled, since it seems like she asked several people ahead of her.

It appears she did not get EBCI. I think SWA needs to make a couple of tweaks to EBCI. First, some indication on the PRN that EBCI has been purchased. Second, indication on the BP that EBCI has been purchased, and implemented. That way a GA at the counter could look up the PRN, see the EBCI purchase and know if the BP is correct. IIRC, they can currently tell how many BS, A-List (I think), and through pax there are.

However, I wonder what the recourse is. What can be done, either by Customer Service at the point when you check in T-24, only to get a B-25 boarding pass or at the airport? Is Southwest prepared to make changes to your check-in priority?

2 BS and 2 thru pax. Including A16, only 3 in front of me. Don't you know, A1 took 11D & A2 took 11C. A16 took 12D. Got stuck with 11 A&B. Still, the best row on the plane.
EBCI paid off in this case.
