Skyteam Platinum Elite Plus Seat Selection?
I was wondering who on Skyteam allows Elite Seat Selection? I am Platinum ST Elite Plus on Continental. I looked on the Skyteam website and it states the following:
Based on availability, SkyTeam representatives make every effort to accommodate your seating preference. As a SkyTeam Elite Plus passenger, you can reserve one of a number of select seats at time of booking. ****
**** Air France offers this benefit from France to North America, South America, Asia, Africa, Middle East (except Israel), the Caribbean and the Indian Ocean destinations.
CSA Czech Airlines offers this benefit from Prague to North America and Middle East (except Israel).
Korean Air offers this benefit from Korean to North America, South America and Europe.
Northwest offers seat assignments 90 days prior to departure.
So does this mean ONLY Air France, CSA, Korean Air, and NW only allows seat selection on certain routes. Or does all ST carriers (China Southern, Alitalia, Korean Air, Delta, etc...) allow elite seats to be handed out to ST Platinum elites?
thanks!

Usually the ones that do have seats set aside for elites don't differentiate between Elite and Elite plus... any skyteam status will get those seats. CO is the exception to this who keeps Exit rows for Gold and Plat only until OLCI opens up.
DL and NW both have elite seating which you can get with any Skyteam elite level. I don't know of any special elite seating on any of the other carriers and I've flown most of them.
Really within Skyteam the best benefit you'll get out of elite plus is lounge access when flying in Y.

Just got off the phone with AF - I am a NW Plat, and we are traveling with a baby from US-India. The AF representative said they would not be able to give us the bulkhead seats with bassinets (14 on the 340 & 23 on 772). It seems those seats are available only to Flying Blue elites - I tried telling her I was ST Elite Plus .. but no luck .. so we are in 32 / 36 rows. Not sure if I should call again and try talking to another agent?
UPDATE: Called again today and spoke with another agent - she was fabulous; seemed to know a completely different set of rules compared to her colleague I spoke with yesterday. She gave us the front rows I was looking for. She did say,"let me check if the system will allow me to assign you those seats" and looks like it did.
