Regarding companion upgrades the info I took was from the FB homepage: http://www.airfrance.ie/IE/en/local/...latinum.htm#13 . That also specifically says extra baggage does not aply to piece concept, are yu sure about this?

Thank you seoulmanjr for your words! I'm happy to expand it as long as it doesn't take all my days... :-)

you are trusting the FB wepages (more than a fellow FTer ).

yes, I am certain about the 2x32 kg for PEs (this is PE only, not SE, GE). I will have to search for this (change is maybe 4-5 months old).

and this is what KLM writes: Specifically, complimentary Elite upgrades for all Elite members except those that reside in US/Mexico on all flights operated by NW within North America (excluding to/from Hawaii).

I know you get the companion upgrades, but to my knowledge not via EUA.

EDITED: looks like KL/AF changed their luggage policy significantly a month ago and my experience was around x-mas. I will check on this and report back.

ok, found this:

Economy (Tempo): 2 pieces of luggage in the hold with a maximum weight of 23 kg each, for a total of 46 kg.

Flying Blue Platinum and Club 2000 travelling in Economy will be entitled to travel with 2 pieces of luggage in the hold with a maximum weight of 32 kg each, for a total of 64 kg.

First and Business Class (Espace Premire, Espace Affaire): 2 pieces of luggage in the hold with a maximum weight of 32 kg each, for a total of 64 kg.

Not at all, one thing I learnt is not to trust FB info... Still I want to make sure the benefits are something (un)official and not just something elite passengers score out of luck.
Thank you for checking this out, I'll make sure to update with this straight away!

Update

I've now added a page with round the world fares, sorted by price in C:
http://www.gnopps.com/skyteam/pages/rtw-fares.php

Very interesting! May ask for the source of these fares?
With Expertflyer/SABRE, I have a problem with MRU: While DL has filed a fare of 7323 USD (as you quoted) for ARTWSKY3, AF has filed 9153 USD for FRTWSKY3. As MRU is served by AF, but not by DL, I tend to believe AF in this case.

CO elite status can be earned with 30/60/90 segment points.

if you can buy the AF flight as a DL codeshare you should be all set.

Thank you for your comments, I've updated the CO info now. The RTW fares are taken from Expertflyer as well as Amadeus. In regards to which carrier to choose I don't believe the first segment has to be on the issuing airline, but this discussion is better taken in the RTW thread.

Is it correct that in FB, flying CSA on T class, no miles are earned? I noticed all other airlines give 100% on this fare class.

The link also states lounge access as a benefit when flying Malev or Ukrainian .. Very interesting, that this is not restricted to code-shares!

Any experiences?

Thanks for spotting this! The FB webpages are ambiguent about this:

http://www.airfrance.ie//IE/en/local...er_skyteam.htm list eligible classes as B, C, D, H, K, L, M, N, Q, V & Y.

http://partnersearch.ehn.klm.com/ie_...=5&p=5&eb=earn list B, C, D, H, K, L, M, N, Q, T, V & Y.

Who to trust? It does however seem strange that T would earn 0% as it is higher than Q for example. I'll add T class to my site, seems more likely. Please let me know if this is incorrect.

As SkyTeam has been enlarged, so has my page. Check out earnings on the new Associate airlines here!
I try to keep the page as much up to date as possible, so please let me know if you spot any errors!

Mods, can you put up a sticky to Gnopps' comparison charts?
These would be a handy reference every now and then.

Gnopps, thanks SO much for this invaluable tool.

Just noticed something: are you sure your earnings on Flying Blue when flying CSA are correct? I think there might be some omissions, e.g. X class. According to the AF website, eligible classes are: A , B, H, K, L, M, Q, T, U, X, Y, I, U, N, V , S , G, W (varying levels of earnings).

Thanks again for the tool!
