Which SkyTeam miles to use for AF?

Not sure if this is best here on in the AF forum, but here goes. I'm looking at booking two coach award flights for US-Paris next year on AF (they fit my schedule needs the best). Currently they are available if I look using the NWA Japan site. I'm looking to use Coupon Connection to trade for the miles I need, but I am wondering if any SkyTeam miles will do? If the seat shows available for 50K miles on the NWA JP site, could it also be redeemed for DL/CO/AF?? Can I place the reservation on hold for later ticketing by another using their miles, and if so which airline would I call to hold it?

Thanks in advance to all.

Not sure how AF allocates award availability to other carriers - whether its a free-for-all block of seats to all partners, a special allotment for SkyTeam partners, or special allotment for individual carriers.

I'm sure that you are also aware that if you purchase a Y/B/M DL fare on a codeshare operated by AF, you can use miles or PMUs to upgrade to business provided there is Z upgrade inventory.
