Thanks for your answer. It's good that I thought to ask here (which I only really did because the customer service took so long to get back to me) because this is the answer I got from them:

Thank you for your e-mail. I apologize for the delay in response. The Age barrier only applies to the main driver. Is there anything else that I can assist you with?

This is not the case then?

I was renting a Sixt at Nice and when asked for an upgrade the guy told me (with a very sorry face) "your Platinum card is not allowing to provide you a free upgrade according to our computer system". He never denied they have cars available etc and felt genuinely sorry for that so I've ended up paying the upgrade. So my question is how come that Platinum card which expires some time in 2014 is no longer makes me eligible for an upgrade?

Thank you again for your answer and no apologies needed. We ended up booking an ITMR instead, which I think will be perfectly fine. And will save us some money to use during the trip. :)

Planning to rent a BMW 5GT in Frankfurt in December.

Does LDAR only consist of BMW 5GT?

Hi, In the LDAR vehicle group from Frankfurt Airport the BMW 5er Gran Turismo and BMW 525d/528i are example vehicles. I hope this helps, Matt

Will it help to get a greater chance for Gran Turismo if I state my preference in my reservation?

It will help, but as my experience (3 rentals, 2 failures to obtain the vehicle requested) suggests, it won't guarantee it.

Hi fwb, This will help the branch when they are allocating vehicles on the day of your hire. It is of course a request and the branch will try their best to meet it. Feel free to private message me with your reservation number and I'll check your details. Thanks, Matt
