Hi Marie,
Previously when I went to book a car on the Sixt.com website, I was able to request an automatic transmission and diesel engine under the "Add Additional Extras?" category. Now these options seemed to have disappeared from the menu. Any reason for this? How likely would it be to receive an automatic and diesel vehicle in the more economy class? I am looking at renting a car in Heidelberg, DE in the beginning of October. Thanks! :) |
Try booking on Sixt.de site the auto and diesel options are still there. If the German is too hard then have Sixt.com open as well as an English referance.
You might well get a diesel but auto is less likely on smaller cars ifnot requested |
this is just a system error for a couple of days.
should be working by now or very soon. |

Australia has disappeared from the dropdown list of countries on the booking engine and I can't book for Sydney. How could you lose an entire continent?:confused::confused::confused::confused:
This station does not have any vehicles available at the time stated. (218) |

10 days on and still would like to know what is going on with Sixt in Australia. While the country has been reinstated to the drop-down list, checking random dates for Sydney over the next 4 months returns the following message all the time:

Sorry for the delay in coming back to you. We are currently setting up a new partnership in Australia so at this time we are unable to confirm fleet availability. We hope that this change of partnership will enhance our service and rentals in Australia which will create an overall improved Sixt experience. I do apologise that you are unable to make a reservation at the moment however please be assured that we are aware of this and plan a re-launch in the near future. Kind Regards, Marie |

Hurricane Season
I'm hoping that someone from Sixt can verify that everything is alright with my reservation :)
I made a reservation from Sixt's Miami Airport location. Before going to Miami we're heading to New York. Because of hurricane Irene coming along we've had to delay for a few days. This means that the pickup from Miami is being pushed back a few days. I'm not able to reschedule the pickup online, but I talked to a representative at the Miami location and he said he'd make a note about the pickup not happening until a few days later. I just don't feel I'm standing on very solid ground with only a phone convo and a name to refer to. How likely is it that I'll arrive in Miami with no car to jump into? I made the reservation quite a while ago, so the prices are very different if I go in to rebook it now (180% of what I booked at, or thereabouts). Any help would be appreciated. |
I am trying to book a bigger car in Milan, Italy .
Automatic and Unlimited km seems like the only choice is Benz B200 and C200 ? anything larger than those? |

WE are back from our trip.
Excellent car, and excellent service from Sixt. We got a bigger car, and that too diesel as requested. Saved us a lot of money, as we drove over 3000kms and the diesel gave us 18.4kmpl (Driving the alps!) It was a Citreon C3 picasso, and we had booked a compact. Thanks again. I guess, I will always try to book from SIXT whenever possible. you are doing a great job. Carry on! |
