Thank you SFO777!

I do plan on using SQ632 (it looks like it runs x4 i.e every day except Thursday); and I have seen several posts in this thread where SIN-BKK-NRT or the reverse were booked.

I just noticed something in my planning with RTW in SQ metal only.. Is that the tickets are actually maximum 3 months long, and that's it.. I was actually thinking about the 6 month range, so now what should I do?

My planned trip is ex-SIN in August, and won't probably return back to SIN until December.

On the other hand, I still have one LAX-SIN trip open. Should I do an ex-LAX or ex-SIN? Assuming that I postpone the LAX-SIN tickets?

Ex-ICN SQ RTW

Due to depreciation of KRW, SQ RTW is now only ~$1200(!) ex-ICN in Y(not mentioned if C/F is available), though routing is very restrictive;

ICN-SFO/(YVR?)
JFK-FRA(IAH-DME?)
(any SQ european city)-SIN
SIN-ICN

seems to be the only permitted.

ps. At least it is good for 365 days, not 3 months...
ps2. The fare is valid through Mar 31 and there is a good chance that it will become more expensive.

Well, I don't know.. ex-ICN will bring me far off course.. I need it in C or F anyways so I guess we will see about that.

Thanks for the info!

Question SQ/VS RTW?

Does SQ still offer the SQ/Virgin Atlantic RTW fare? I'm in Los Angeles and I want to go eastbound rtw, without stopping in the US. I'm thinking of something like LAX-LHR-CPT-SIN-HGK-NRT-LAX. The first two segments would be Virgin and the rest SQ. Is this itinerary doable under the SQ/VS RTW rules?
Thanks for any help.

There is an SQ/VS RTW fare, base of $6600J or $3600Y.

I'm not sure about the routing rules though on this one.

SFO777:
Thanks for that. I guess I need to start calling to get more specific info on this fare. I did a *A Circle Pacific last year in business. Definitely the preferred option. Any bets as to whether the ultimate price comes close to what is quoted on that page?

More exchange rate anomalies...

*A CPAC from US: USD$ 12,070F
*A CPAC from Canada: CAD$ 10,059F

At today's exchange rate that x-Canada fare is only USD$ 8,072.

Is there a good place to look up such information?

Can the SQ-only RTW starting @ICN be booked in the US, or do I have to go to Korea (or find a travel agent there) to book this ticket?

Also, is there a way to find out whether C is available for the RTW starting in ICN, and how much that would be?

Would this route be eligible?

LAX-NRT-BKK-SIN-JNB//DXB-IST//FRA-JFK?

I'm curious if the JNB to DXB would be considered backtracking. thanks

DXB is east of JNB and you are flying westbound, so yes will be backtracking.

Just heard that *A RTW fares are increased. Anyone knows by average how many percent? Luckily, SQ RTW isn't showing any increase for the moment..
