A class fare availability may depend on the market. A class (the F RTW) was available JFK-FRA-SIN-HKG-SFO on numerous day when I booked, although the FRA-SIN 77W evening flight had no A seats on the day I wanted, so I took ZRH-SIN instead.
But another FTer discover that SQ had released no A seats at anytime in the entire year on the SIN-AKL routing, even when no revenue seats had been sold.

Talked to YVR SQ office today and was told they can not make reservations anymore, but was told to ask for Lead Supervisor (Peter) when calling call-centre.
He was a great help - even calling me back right-away after getting disconnected, and after about 20min confirmed:
JFK-FRA, IST-DXB-SIN and SIN-NRT-LAX. I am wait-listed for IST-DXB , but he was pretty confident it would clear fairly quickly.
Thanks for all the advice on booking this fare. Now it's time to research all that I will experience on my first SQ flights, my first RTW, and my first visit to all the destinations!

Thanks SFO777.
Unfortunately the budget only allows for a C RTW, but based on reports here I won't be disappointed!
BTW - will I have access to the Virgin CH at JFK?
I am travellling YYZ-LGA and want to book flt based on time needed to transfer to JFK and how much time I want to experience in the lounge...

Alternatively, LAN flies once a day, YYZ-JFK, and pretty cheap prices, also. Not sure if flight times would be more suitable

I've only used the VS lounge but I believe that most SQ C pax use the Swiss Lounge which it on the upper departures level pre-security right next door to the VS Lounge.

That's the kind of nonsense you get from SQ's India call center.....[on the other hand] the SFO office (415-781-7304) is particularly good. If you get a VM, leave a message and they will call you back promptly.

Just to be sure, I asked SQ if the rules have recently changed. They haven't.

If you are *G you can use the LX lounge, otherwise C pax use the Oasis Lounge. I was an F passenger in August and there was an MX issue with the plane (SQ 25). They kept the VSCH open for a few hours after the last VS flight departed for the 8 of us that were in the lounge. Around midnight the SQ Station Manager came and apologized profusely and asked all of us to move to the Oasis lounge so that the VSCH could close. All of the C pax were there already.
