Definitely old A380. I love how wide the seat is.

Yeah, I have flown that one many times back in the day so thought it could be nice to try a new seat. But decided to go for MEL - not sure I want to spend New Years Eve in Brisbane!

I've only tried A359 ULR seat not regional so i can't comment. But I''ve heard from few people regional A359 is quite narrow.

Yes, both rows have the extra room at the footrest. Some people like row 96 for the privacy but I prefer row 91 as 96 is very very cold and the engine noise is louder there.

I'm travelling on SQ345 from ZRH-SIN in November and SQ346 in April next year and the seat maps under seat selection for both flights appear to be the old business class (Layout 3) and not the new layout, I thought SQ345/6 were operated with the new business class?

Layout 3 is the new business seats. Is there row 97?

Hi sbs2716g,

Yes there is a row 97!! For some reason I thought only Layout 1 was the new Business Class. My own fault for not delving into the detail further as I was in a rush yesterday and only booked the trip in the morning.

Thanks..

The old all upper deck business class seats last row is row 96.

FWIW, IMO the old seats are way more comfortable than the new seats. To me that is anyway.

I haven't flown this aircraft before, so my question is pretty basic.

I know on the non-updated version that to lie flat the seat needs to be flipped over. But can the leg support be raised independently, without having to flip the seat? In other words sitting more or less upright but with legs supported straight out?

Anybody with recent experience in seats 18D and 18F in the old A380 between JFK and SIN? Any compliments or complaints?

I'm also curious about this! I hope somebody can share their thoughts and/ or experience.

My wife and I are flying SIN-LHR-SIN in Dec on SQ308 and SQ319.

- Last row is 96, is this the old seat or the new one?
- We currently have window seats in the front cabin, for centre seats only the rear cabin is available, including 91. Any suggestions if we should move to the rear, especially for the return leg which is an evening departure. I'm a bit concerned about being next to the bassinets in 91.

Many Thanks!

Old seat. New layout has 97 rows.

Why is it a concern being by bassinet?

I’ve taken my little one on this flight a few times, at 6 months, 15 months and 2 years. He’s slept 10 hours plus on each so he didn’t disturb other passengers if that’s what you are worried about. I’ve never had a problem with other infants / toddlers on this flight either - do this route 4-5x a year.

The noise cancellation headphones are decent too.
