I should have asked really, she was very forthcoming with the fact I booked with PTS so I assumed that if she could have upgraded us she would have done. This was my first stay on the FHR rate.
Next time I will be on an upgrade mission!

Welcome to FlyerTalk!
Too bad about the upgrade.
Too bad about the upgrade.
Stayed at Wynn Las Vegas a few weeks ago:
- Paid $289 for a Tower Suites room (no upgrade offered)
- Spent $40 breakfast credit at the Buffet
- $90 lunch credit ($45 each) enjoyed at Red 8
- Made good use of the late checkout! Although Red 8 said we had already checked out when I tried to charge the lunch to our room.
Great hotel, shame about the upgrade - the lady at check-in didn't mention it

Ya, you usually have to ask about the upgrade.
I find that, when you make the reservation through PTS, just wait 15 minutes or so for your information to be available at the front desk, and then just call the hotel directly.
They are usually pretty good about securing your upgrade right then over the phone, even though the T&C states upgrade "at check-in".
YMMV, but I have had great luck that way.

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I had the Ritz in palm beach do an upgrade for me over the phone. I guess it depends on who you get when you call.

What is the "code" that people keep referring to? Is there a way to view FHR pricing online without having to call. Or are these the same as promotion codes found on the FHR site?
Thanks...
Thanks...

You can view pricing online for certain properties like Ritz Carlton using FHR for a corporate discount code. You still need to book it through Platinum Travel.

At Wynn, you do have to ask. However, the next room category up from Tower Suite room is an Executive Suite, of which there are not that many so it does sell out often. The FHR food perks still make it worth it...

Please Post FGR Upgrades and Amenities
Hey Guys,
First time post in this area.
I just thought I would share my positive experience with FHR with everyone. I travel weekly on business and several times a year with the family and have always felt that the benefits that I get from my centurion card by using FHR more than justify the fee that I pay.
I have traveled around the world and stayed at at 30+ FHR properties with with experiences ranging from good to unbelievable. I have often received a double upgrade, one at time of booking, and one at check-in (Peninsula, HK, Raffles, Singapore, Savoy, London, etc) but... I have to tell you that nothing compares with the trip I am on right now.
I have been to Vegas 10 times in the last few months and usualy stay at the 4 Seasons, but have also frequented Belagio, Wynn, Venetian, & THE hotel which are all part of the FHR program. This trip I decided to try the Skylofts at MGM because I was bringing my family with me for my daughters 9th birthday and I wanted to try something new.
So I got a great deal on the 1 bedroom for 2 nights, and am happy to say that we got upgraded to the 2 bedroom on check-in.
This suite is INCREDIBLE... all I can say is the website does not do it justice....
Plus...
$100 spa credit
in room breakfast each day
butler and concierge at your fingertips (and I mean.. right there)
Free wireless
Free pay per view (kids love this)
Birthday present and gift for my daughter
Pickup from the airport
Happy Travels

Glad you are happy. Many of the same benefits are available at the Platinum level. Guys like me that do not travel as much as you do get value out of the airline status as well as Centurion's other programs. If you travel weekly I assume you have hotel status and that often beats Centurion since you can upgrade low priced rooms.

That's awesome! ^
I plan on staying at Skylofts w/ several friends when I head to Vegas in November for my birthday. Hopefully my experience is just as good as yours
