Chase United MileagePlus Explorer Card
Priority boarding
The primary Cardmember and companions on the same reservation will be invited to board United-operated flights prior to general boarding.
Chase United MileagePlus Club Card & Chase United MileagePlus Presidential Plus Card
Premier Access travel services
Receive preferential treatment to ease your way through the airport with priority check-in, security screening (where available), boarding and baggage handling privileges.
The use of the credit card is not needed to receive benefits, just having a credit card linked to your account is sufficient (bag fee waiver does require use of the card)

Good to know, though I have more than a decade to wait.
I don't believe the age based waiver is for PreCheck but rather expedited screening in the non-PreCheck lines, sort of like pre-Check-light is handled when there is no PreCheck

I searched this thread but maybe I missed it. Is it possible to buy premier access for a single segment with United miles? Or is it cash only?

Thanks!

I just checked in for my flight and BP is listing Premier Access. No status now but hold the Gateway and Explorer cards.

However, another flight 2 days ago (and all other UA flights where I havent had status) have just listed Priority Boarding. Just a glitch?

Is it Worth it to Purchase Premiere Access?

For those of us without elite status, do you think buying the Premier option is worth the cost? Thanks

You mean premier access? Probably not. Basically only gets you Group 2 boarding, which at best decreases the likelihood of having to check your carry on. Check it at the gate instead anyway and save the hassle.

If your carry on doesn't have anything that you don't want/isn't wise to put under the plane, then fine, if it does, then early boarding might be worth it. YMMV.

Or you could get a United credit card. Depending on how many times you fly United, could be more cost effective and get you some additional perks.

I fly just enough to not qualify for sliver status, but I do have the UA Explorer Card. I feel that I get enough value with the Group 2 boarding, $6 wi-fi, free checked bag(s) that it essentially pays for itself. The two UA Club one-time passes are just gravy on top.
