Is anyone aware of a major change here? Ownership? Management? I have spent ~25 nights a year here for the past 15 years or so. Most recent stay I had some issues, not unique to this stay, but the chat/text service and other attempts to contact/resolve have been fruitless, and that's the difference from past stays. Texts that used to go to the front desk now go to Never-Never Land, sometimes forwarded, but then silence. Online booking rates which used to include the destination fee now are not clear. Until late October, they were clearly included and deducted at checkout for LTG; no deduction in November.
Anyway, curious about changes and, in any case, advise caution.

Ive had a few stays there this fall, most recent ones were in November and also a couple of days ago. I havent noticed any changes and as a globalist havent been mistakenly charged a destination fee. Front desk staff are all familiar cant really comment on managers.

What? Destination fee for an airport hotel in Burlingame?
I recently booked an overnight for an SFO connection and found that the GH SFO was only slightly more than this HR for my travel date.
And this is what Id get for my $25?

Had a stay last month and didn't notice any big changes. No destination fee charges. Breakfast charges removed. I have noticed my suite upgrade% here has gone down considerably in the past year or so.
It's a no-brainer if the rates are anywhere close. GH all the way. Although when I've checked, the difference is more typically closer to $200/night, if not more.

Even if they were to refund me the destination fee, I think I am happy to pay that difference to avoid the whole shuttle experience.

In terms of choosing an SFO airport hotel, personally I am not price sensitive. There's no way I would stay at HR nor really anywhere but GH. If the cash price is too high, I burn points.

Last few times I stayed there (before they introduced this nonsense) I used none of that. Well, okay, maybe the water, but I had some basic status anyway, so it should have been included as an elite benefit.
This list of destination fee benefits is just insulting. I won’t be back as long as they try to scam their customers.

Just checked out of the HR SFO after a wonderful stay as Globalist, 1 night with Cat 1-4 and the other night on points.
Check-in was very pleasant, recognized as Globalist, upgraded to a really nice suite so that I can have work meetings which would otherwise be on the Atrium.
Parking was complimentary as was the Globalist breakfast.
Have not stayed here for a while and I am very pleased, and the HR SFO is now on my list of Hyatt properties for SF for me, alongside the HR SOMA, the Grand Hyatt SF, and the Hotel Kabuki

Also had a recent stay and was upgraded to a suite. Strangely, a noticeable amount of suites I've been in there don't even have work desks, including most recent one. As opposed to the standard rooms, which pretty much all do.

Had a one-night stay this week, 2x rooms booked as globalist.
The bad:
The bad:
- 45-minute wait for shuttle pickup at 9:00 PM from the international terminal. Called the hotel after 20 minutes, said everything was fine and the shuttle would be there any minute. Stopped answering my calls after that.
- 1x RM upgraded to a suite, 1x "upgraded" to a water view
- Buffet breakfast was good, breakfast service was friendly and uncrowded (at 6AM)
- The points price: rooms were only 12k pts/ea
- This property still gives globalist benefits on both rooms, without requiring a GOH certificate
- No issues with the shuttle back to the airport in the AM

Stayed here a while ago.
Some notes:
-As a globalist got an upgrade on a high floor with airport runway and bay view. I preferred this to having a suite with a view of the freeway.
-Windows can NOT be opened
-Walk in shower in bathroom.
-Due to explaining I had an evening flight, was given an extended check out till 6p.m. at no extra cost.
-There is no executive club lounge
-Hotel is located in Burlingame and San Francisco SFO airport is several miles away. Free shuttle travels several miles on freeway and connects to the airport at regular intervals.
-Breakfast was decent
-Apart from a nearby gas station, there are no other shops anything to buy anything within walking distance. I walked about 2 miles in either direction.
-No free parking, unless you are Globalist.
-This property is usually a lot cheaper than the Grand Hyatt inside SFO airport, however be aware that you are basically in the middle of nowhere when you stay here.
-Despite being in the middle of nowhere, this hotel charges a "destination fee" with mostly worthless benefits. If you are anything less than Globalist, or are using points to pay for your stay, give this place a miss.

Years ago (about 20), this property had a club lounge with a decent food spread in the evening.
