The bad:
- 45-minute wait for shuttle pickup at 9:00 PM from the international terminal. Called the hotel after 20 minutes, said everything was fine and the shuttle would be there any minute. Stopped answering my calls after that.
The good:
- 1x RM upgraded to a suite, 1x "upgraded" to a water view
- Buffet breakfast was good, breakfast service was friendly and uncrowded (at 6AM)
- The points price: rooms were only 12k pts/ea
- This property still gives globalist benefits on both rooms, without requiring a GOH certificate
- No issues with the shuttle back to the airport in the AM
Overall, a great value. Of course, I'd rather stay at the Grand Hyatt, but for the night of our stay rooms there were 30k/ea, so very happy to have an affordable if not-quite-as-convenient option nearby.
The live map for the Hyatt Regency and Marriott SFO shuttle is still active. It won't get the van there any faster, but it at least tells you where it is.
