Stunning! The food at our “home in Bangkok” as always been spectacular but WOW, this is wonderful. Can’t wait to return.

How does the pool and pool bar pricing compare with other Bangkok hotels? Looking at doing a one night solo trip here, I love sitting by the pool and relaxing with a beer, the HR has a great beer offer often enough 😀 was it a 241 or a 3 for 2 I cant remember but made the beer prices more tolerable 🤣

Im thinking about a 2-night stay here in August at the tail end of our trip to Singapore and Bali.

if I book a Park Deluxe Suite and get two rollaway beds (for the kids) will the room be very tight? Wondering if better to get the connecting room option.

welcome thoughts and previous experiences

Checked in on a one night stay, looked before arrival that3 stabdard suites were available and checked again in the lobby and one standard suite available but at check in not one was available. No problem I go to my room and look a d sure enough a standard suite was available.

Not going to beg for a suite but I despise hotels that play games...

Anyways I was suprised to be just given my key and thats it, no one escorted to the room like at the standard or the hyatt regency not even pointed to the elevator.... no explanations of hotel facilities either.

The pool is beautiful but service seemed very off there.

Happy to have tried this but I wont be returning here as a globalist there is little for me, better service at the Hyatt place and the standard just my 2 cents

Did they at least upgrade you to King Deluxe?
The King Deluxe is pretty large, although not a real suite as there isn't a door separating living and sleeping area.

I can only speak for the most common Park Deluxe Suite, the one with a hallway like living room.
Depending on the age of the kids, one should be able to sleep comfortably on the living room sofa, plus one on the rollaway.
Not sure about two rollaways.

Thanks for this and helpful. I saw the pictures and thought 2 rollaways would be tough. Have an 8 and 5 year old so what you outline might work

Pre-paid reservation data point:

I recently booked 5 nights at Park Hyatt Bangkok with a pre-paid rate to save couple hundred dollars. I was sent an email about ~2 days later to pay the reservation amount online. I read on reddit/flyertalk before that these online deposits may not classify as hotel/hyatt for credit card points. I used my Chase Sapphire Reserve Business, and I am happy to say that I received 4x points for this payment.

Are the Park Deluxe Suites preferred to the Park Suite Kings here? I tried following the previous conversation on this but got confused...

To me, absolutely. They are not necessarily larger (the Park Suites might actually be larger on average if that is all you care about) but they have a better layout and are typically on the better side of the hotel.

Some may prefer the Park King Suites due to the extra half bath. Other than that aspect, I'm not sure one layout is any better than the other.

The Park Suites which (mostly / all?) have the dressing room off the sitting room by the entrance rather than between the bedroom and bathroom where it should be is clearly an inferior layout to me. A minority of the Park Deluxe also have a guest loo.

I've stayed at the HR in the past and I loved it but there were definitely noise issues with my room. As fate would have it I had to change the dates slightly and a suite was no longer available at the HR so I used a SUA here to confirm into a park deluxe suite. I assume previous advice applies about asking for a room facing the empty lot? Not sure the layout of this room but hopefully they reach out to me and I can put the request in.

There are bout 4 different Park Deluxe Suite layouts at Park Hyatt Bangkok. This is one of the typical ones.

Are they on a specific side of the hotel? Honestly the layout doesnt concern me as much as being able to get a room that isnt full of outside noise. I carry a white noise machine but Im still scarred from hearing club noise thumping until 5am in Vegas earlier this week. Street noise isnt quite the same but a room with minimal noise would be nice.

Quite a lot of them face onto whats meant to be the future Central Embassy extension which at least last time I was there is just an empty plot of land. Ill be back in a few days and will be able to verify.

Ive never had noise issues in the deluxe suites that I can remember.
