Gift card stock?

Any update on availability of Hilton gift cards? They have been "out of stock" for a long time.

Due to an unforeseen inventory shortage, Hilton Gift Card sales are temporarily suspended. We are expecting new inventory soon and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.
This has been ongoing for about three months. See the seven posts above yours.

Update

I called RPG, the company that sells Hilton gift cards, to find out when they would be available again. Was told they did not have a time framework, but that they were working on it.

Not sure I understand what could cause such a massive delay in printing gift cards

From my discussion with them, I do not believe their CS dept has any idea what is causing the delay or, if they do, have been told not to give out any information.

I'm pretty sure RPG is Amex. I'm guessing Amex needs to fix the $50 credit working on gift cards before opening them up again

Many comments on Business Platinum (USA) $200 Hilton statement credit ($50/quarter) about recent Hilton GC problems.

I contacted RPG asking what I could do with the gift cards I can't redeem and this was their reply, seems they are a contractor for the gift cards as they told me I need to contact Amex.

Hello -

Thank you for contacting RPG Card Services, the exclusive program services provider for Hilton Gift Cards in North America. We sincerely apologize for the trouble you have experienced. Please note that RPG is only the program services provider and not the gift card processor. We do not have any rights or visibility into the American Express platform to view card details, card balances, transaction attempts, transaction history, etc.

Any matters surrounding redemption or transactional issues need to be addressed with American Express directly at 888-846-4308.

We apologize for any inconvenience, but RPG is unable to provide the assistance you are requesting.

Apparently you aren't aware of just how difficult the whole gift card process of ordering plastic cards and loading money on them really is. Obviously the difficulty of this intricate process is up there with placing a man/woman on Pluto. (Is Pluto still not a planet anymore?)
I'm just wondering if anyone at AMEX has considered shelving their pride and just consulting with any of the other billion businesses out there who have no problem with this very intricate process. Sure they might laugh at them for a minute, but I'm sure they'll eventually be nice and show them the secret.
lol

I read “Apparently you aren't aware” and my immediate thought was “geez, another critical condescending borderline inappropriate comment”. After reading the entire quote I enjoyed it and appreciated the sarcasm .

Pluto, according to WikiPedia, is a “dwarf planet” and “the largest known trans-Neptunian object by volume by a small margin”. And FWIW I found it to be quite a hospital hospitable place when I lived there .

Agreed, it is pathetic (in multiple different ways) to see how these gift cards are being marketed. Used to be American Exceptionalism, now American Mediocrity, soon to be American Patheticism.
kevino, SPN Lifer and IDM79 like this.

Their computer security / IP address screening can't even figure out that the CNMI is part of the USA.

So their other difficulties are hardly surprising. Any ideas on how to fix their mistaken IP address blocking?

I miss William! 🤠

Now a year and no indication that Hilton gift cards are returning any time soon. Web site still says they are working on it. Pretty poor IT dept.

Doubtful it was “IT” related. Much more likely GC termination was a (Hilton and/or AmEx) marketing and/or revenue decision.
