Did a few searches and did not find, but y,all know my uselessness for searcing here. Apologies if this is the wrong place.

A friend of mine booked a flight with a group via a TA. I can load the PNR in AC.com and via Cowtools, but on the app, there is an error message "Sorry, we can't retrieve this booking. Group Bookings are not supported at this time."

Anybody know if she'll be able to use the app for this booking closer to departure (next week)?

Did AC remove the ability to export the digital boarding pass to the Google Wallet? I could have sworn there was an option at some point to send a BP to the Wallet. I tried to take a screenshot and still no option to put it in the Wallet. What's going on?

Boarding pass not changing after upgrade

Ive noticed that with 2 gate upgrades in the last month the (iOS) mobile app and apple wallet no longer change. I get the text saying the eUp cleared, but even deleting and reloading the boating pass still shows the original seat.

Today at boarding they seemed to recognize it as common and just scanned the app, then went and got a paper copy with the upgrade showing.

anyone else see this or is it a me issue?

Maybe not just you, but not everyone. It worked correctly for me a few days ago.

Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't work and killing and restarting the app makes it work. Sometimes it doesn't work and nothing will make it work.

I even had a new one this week where it updated my new seat assignment, but blanked the QR code forcing me to get a new paper BP regardless.

There seems to be no rhyme or reason. Had one recently where both a coworker and I got a gate upgrade on the same flight, standing next to each other in YYZ and both on iPhones, and his BP updated mine did not.

Now I'm annoyed at both Air Canada and Fuze for degrading my experience using the Air Canada app.
Fired off feedback as well, also added that perhaps they should follow United's lead in their app, as the Just For You is more intuitive than AC's For You, given United provide route offers, tips, account info, with actual United ad's.

Also annoying the feedback only allows one screenshot. AC can't even get that right.

Please give us feedback, oh but we are going to limit how much feedback you give us by only allowing one screenshot upload.


Will see what they come back with.

Im pretty sure the feedback goes straight to their junk mail. I have never heard anything back, so dont get your hopes up!

Bottom line: people will still use the app and fly the airline. I doubt anyone will change their travel habits because of this so complaining with no loss of revenue versus the ad revenue from the adds is a no brainer.

Money talks.

Effectively this. I spend so little time on the home page as to the ads are irrelevant to me. Ok so this has ads now. Scroll on/click away.

With that said, I'm wondering if they're even getting enough click through to be valuable. There's a BMO ETF ad showing for me atm but I'll never click it. The Chexy+Aeroplan, I'll look at cause it's Aeroplan related. *shrugs*

I was surprised to see the BMO ETF ad as BMO and Aeroplan do not have any cobranded credit cards, until I realised it is all about the advertising dollars as opposed to promoting Aeroplan or Air Canada.
I view the app as a tool and not a fan of advertisements that are not directly related to AC or AP.

That aside, is it just me or the point balance and the SQM/SQS counter not updating?

It shows up on activity but the dashboard is frozen with the error message "We're not able to retrieve your latest Information. Please try again later."

It's not exactly new but this time it has been frozen for a couple days...
The website appears to be working though.

In the past when this has happened to me, logging out and back in seemed to fix it (i.e.ctrl-alt-del , the extent of my tech support). When I updated my tablet to a newer version of Android the issue appeared to go away.
Also got the BMO ads; now gone.

I had the same problem. I logged out of the app & logged in again, and that fixed it for me.
