We did our first Easyjet flights in a long while as Easyjet Plus customers. Terminal 2 at BCN is a bit of a zoo compared to T1 but we survived. Sat happily in row 1 with a wine and a tub of paprika Pringles. Got chatting to one of the cabin crew about easyJet plus and she immediately said "oh, are you one of those BA ones? We've had loads of people taking it up"

Ive take a few flights with EasyJet since joining their Plus membership. They have boarding nailed on, I think partly as they usually have stairs or bridges to the front and back doors, and they get you queuing up before the plane is ready.
In flight hard product has been fine. Front row for all journeys, and mostly no one sitting next to me as non-Plus travellers dont want to pay the extra fee I guess. The soft product is fine too - Ive only had drinks as tended to max out lounge food (via Amex Platinum?) before boarding.
And today I tried out booking an earlier return flight for free (paid version of the would have been 170) - phoned and was sorted in 5 minutes. I was reminded I needed to check in again, and had an instant email to confirm the change.
So just some data points really, but I have no complaints. These flights were mostly booked as they made more sense than BA (eg direct option) or were much cheaper that BA economy.

And just a follow up to my last post. Im currently sitting in1A waiting to depart CDG-EDI. Ive flown 6 flights now with EasyJet Plus. Heres my summary:
Boarding
EasyJet have this nailed. And today, when SpeedyBoarding, we had a bus gate. I got on the bus, but the service agent directed me to the other half of the bus. Much to my surprise there was a Tensa barrier in the bus, separating SpeedyBoarders from the rest of the aircraft. When we got to the plane, the driver opened the doors for the SpeedyBoarders and everyone else had to wait. Group 0 flyers, I can feel your pain.
Weirdly, we were bussed from 2B to 2D - climbers some stairs and onto the jet bridge. So we were bussed to a jet bridge - I dont think thats ever happened to me before either.
Heres the Tensa:

Seating
Im pretty sure Ive had 1A for all six flights. And theres never been anyone sitting next to me. I think for 4 flights the whole row was clear, aside from 1A. Im the only one in row 1 today.

BOB
Reasonable value I would say. And EasyJet Plus gets a 10% discount. You just show your card.
On Time
So far, one flight 10 minutes late. Todays flight is fully boarded right now with 15 minutes until departure.
Flight Changes
I moved two of my flights to an earlier departure time. You can only do this for the return flight. As todays flight was leaving early morning, and EasyJet phone lines are not open, I was able to change it yesterday for free. No issues.
Appreciate this is only a snapshot. And there are other aspects to service, including what happens when things go wrong. But I think I will be renewing, even at the full price.

For a long time, majors have sort of encouraged passengers to think of low costs as some atrocious and painful experience which would make travel an ordeal whilst travelling with them would be a pleasure. I think some still seem to share this view but I think it's fair to say that most of us who use low costs with some regularity have an entirely different take.
Since the start of the year, I've flown on U2, FR, W9 and DY as I tend to do every year. I've also flown plenty of majors on short haul Y including BA, AF, OS, IB, KL, SN, etc and I have to say that of those, only AF and to an extent KL and Cityflyer (less so since they downgraded the banding of my main route!) actually make the experience genuinely different apart from one major difference which is that a standard cabin suitcase is still included with all of the above.
I used to avoid FR and still prefer not to use them as I don't really like them, but truth be told, most flights with them are in fact completely eventless and professional.
W9 was also much of an ULC to start with but have also upped their game and I have to say that in recent flights with them, if I book a standard cabin bag, which comes with priority boarding and advance seat reservation except the first four rows and exits, it's actually a rather enjoyable experience. They are much less good than U2 at enforcing priority boarding (as described above) as in if you are in priority but arrive after that group has been 2officially" boarded you are stuck in the regular queue, but since most of the flight doesn't have a right to overhead space anyway frankly that makes little diference.
DY used to be great and one of my favourite airlines to fly short haul, and they have now become more average. Long gone are the days when you could change your seat for free at the airport even on low fares, of the great DY magazine, etc. Having said that, they do offer you 15 minutes of full high speed internet for any device, so if you have a phone and a laptop or tablet that is already 30 minutes which is not bad a start.
U2 I do like too. To me they feel like the most "professional" and well oiled of the low cost. What I dislike is that now the up-pay to get a cabin suitcase and the priority boarding and seating has become really expensive, often more than the cost of the ticket itself, but of course, if you do use that often, it makes the said card a very good option at the discounted rate.

Gutted I missed out on the EasyjetPlus offer - as im now flying them twice a week I think it would have been well worth the price.
Got a flight this afternoon and might actually look to see if I can get any sort of discount. I see they are doing a similar offer to the BA one for Miles&More members with status atm.

Oh. Just one more thing. Most know this I think, but row 1 has dedicated overhead bins with appropriate signage for the uninitiated/chancers. And it seems to work:

It is the same for the exit rows - and both the row 1 and exit row policies are rigorously enforced.

Ive been really enjoying my easyJet flights with Plus too. To echo what others are saying, I especially like the sticker above Row 1 and there is always a crew member enforcing luggage around the exit rows. All flights have been punctual and very professional crew. I would have never even compared prices before the changes and would have just booked BA. But now I am really enjoying trying out new airlines.
The quinoa salad they service is also very nice. Doesnt look much on the menu but is really nice - so highly recommended. The app is also vastly superior to BA.
