Horrible. It's akin to someone buying a bunch of expensive pieces of furniture for their living room that don't match.

Exactly what was wrong with the Vistara livery? Just replace the wording with 'air india' and problem solved. Infinitely more classy.

That is a fantastic idea. Really like the Vistara logo.

It looks pretty cool. I like it. Good job AI.

There's one thing I'm worried about - it doesn't stand out.

It is a bit reminiscent of Iberia but I like it.
The red belly looks good
Also my last experience with AI was fairly good... good service, great food, totally borked IFE

An OK design for the most part. Definitely not as bad as the new ITA livery.
This new AI livery could have been better if the yellow thing on the under belly bordered the red. As it is, it looks like a child forgot to colour in the rest...

On a positive note, they got rid of the cream/off white or whatever %^& color AI has right now for white. Not surprised with the 3-4-3 seating, have to make money to pay off all the debts.

As AI has all their international flights focused out of DEL/BOM and no tie-up with United for US domestic flights, I will not have to deal with them at all. Phew!

The livery is meh. After 24 hours, it's not as egregiously bad as it first looked, but it's not going to be iconic or a standout either. I agree with those who say it skews LCC in look and feel.

What I am potentially impressed by is the new J and F seating. AI's on board soft product is competitive, despite a perception that is somewhat locked in 20 years ago. This hard product upgrade, if coupled with improved reliability and irrops handling, would make AI an excellent choice for US to India, whereas right now it's a bit of a last resort or if-much-cheaper option.

When all this livery was announced... I can't believe that AI launched it's new seat design and all the news and aviation sites just covered the livery with very strong positive or negative comments from the public.

New livery, like it or not, is absolutely nothing to get worked up about. I mean when was the last time anybody selected a flight based on it's livery! This is so stupid.

Instead of taking about these seats... and the new interiors... I'm just surprised that people aren't talking about that but instead getting triggered by the colours of the plane's belly.

I'm struggling to find any real differences between the J&F seats and space. Looks like the same type and size just in different colours. And with the wireless charging at the edge of the table... expect lots of devices on the floor and behind the seats. And the more I look at the PE & Y seats the less impressed I am with them. They've even put the earphone socket in the wrong place.

In the event, AI themselves put less focus on seats and cabin upgrades and gave very few details on which aircraft will have F.

10 across in Y on 773's will be painful. The videos didn't show a lot of detail on the PE seats as well. We will have to wait to see what it's like. I'm keen to see what they do with the loyalty program - its a huge opportunity for them and I hope they come up with a great program with multiple transfer partners like SQ, BA etc.

I agree AI did that. And it was really silly of them to put out the seat video on the same day. However, from a customer perspective - that should be our focus. People should not be complaining or raving about the shade of purple used in the logo!

They have multiple transfer partners - only *A ones though. And I hope some of UK's partners like JL will join when UK gets absorbed into AI. We didn't get any seat details but that's what the press and bloggers should have been asking the AI management about during/after the event. That's the real story.

Of course if AI has a competitive FFP, I'll be back! I was TMC for 4 years but left when I realized how awful that program was.

What I actually find stupid is someone telling people what they should be interested in. That's truly bizarre.
