Next year? So many things could change. Unless you have other Hyatts that you can burn your club upgrades, it is really not a bad lounge. Don’t let this stopping you from going on a cruise.
My source at hotel told me they will not open the full service any time soon due to not having the demand to sustain the products. They are having better success in selling them as private event space. They will continue to offer Diamond/Globs access with complimentary beverages and snacks when it is not being used for an event. In a separate conversation with front desk, I asked if non Diamonds/Globs gets breakfasts at the restaurant when using club award? They told me “No, only what is available in the club.” Oatmeal, cereals, fruits….etc.

Haha...yeah I won't let it stop us from going on a cruise, but I was just hoping to find a productive way to use the certs at some point. I guess one way for me to look at it would be, is spending the extra 5K per night to stay at the GH Seattle worth getting access to that lounge versus the HR Seattle. Any thoughts from anyone?
I guess we could go to GH Kauai for our annual weekend staycation if I can find award space rather than GW Maui (we are a two Aspire family so have two FNAs to use) since we could possibly use the Hilton FNAs for an extra trip to Universal Studios instead. But at this point we would rather do the GW Maui because of the slides.

Hi -
So just checking - Globalist, I have a 1 night stay coming up at the HR Seattle. It sounds like breakfast for the two of us a the restaurant. And soft drinks and chips in the afternoon. That's it?
Also, I was thinking of having a meeting or two in the Lounge. Any issues reported with that?
Thanks -

Breakfast buffet at the restaurant.
Soft drinks and snacks all day (or until when they run out). See pics here:

There is a restroom inside of the lounge. Lots of space for meeting, but I don't recall any meeting rooms with walls.

Have an upcoming stay and interesting enough the Hyatt Mobile App shows that I've been upgraded in Regency Suite. However, the website still shows originally booked king room. Wonder what are the chances they take away the suite before checkin.

Hi -
168, many thanks. It looks way better than I thought it would be. Other than not having whiteboard, it looks like a great place to hold meeting with people, especially when compared to the lobby or one's room. Having non-alcoholic beverages available makes it even better.

I have a stay coming up in a few days and I saw a regency suite open up on the days I'm there and had my fingers crossed for a suite upgrade, but I just checked again and it's now gone. I think you may have gotten that one.

How'd it turn out? I've never gotten close to a suite upgrade here.

Not sure. Stay hasn’t happened yet and I’ve never gotten close before either. Will find out soon and report back.
Spoke too soon - suite is now gone from my app and I’m back to lowest room there is :-( it was a nice dream while it lasted haha.

Yeah I ended up cancelling when I called to ask and they basically were very rude and said there is no way I could have been upgraded since they do not do advance upgrades until you do an in person checkin. Strange since I've definitely received prior upgrades to higher floor/view rooms before checkin. Oh well. Booked a room at Olive 8 for same price and received a King Luxury Suite, which I am in now. Sadly the streak of no suite upgrades at HR Seattle continues.

Sometimes the suites are priced pretty reasonably. Otherwise, I just book one of the corner rooms. It's a nice enough property, and they do treat Globalists well, such that I don't really mind the difficulty of getting a suite upgrade.
