Not surprised.... they couldn't even fill the 737. I used it quite a lot the last 2 years and often enough J cabin was half empty and Y 70% loaded. Switching to a wide-body with three times that capacity? Might have worked if SK finally get their act together and ticket connections on UA from BOS, but they failed at that for a long time. I finally gave up on that route an switched back to LH. Much more convenient.

Interesting - I'm booked in J on 08NOV BOS-CPH....let's see how long it takes for the schedules to update and maybe I'll start researching my options for the schedule change right now....

I don't think the article says when the route suspension will actually take place - does anyone have the date?

You can get to any intercontinental and most European destinations in many ways if you don't mind an extra layover, with this logic you could halt most of SAS' operation

Is the Privatair 737 gone?

Just out of curiosity, has the Privatair 737 from the CPH-BOS and CPH-EWR routes been retired or gone out of service on SAS? BOS is now a seasonal A330 and EWR is a year-round A330.

SK did not extend the contract when the original term ended.

Not really sure what you base your assumption on but my understanding is that loads to BOS has been really good this summer..
Also, this was the first cancellation in over 90 days...

SAS recently announced that BOS will be served with a daily A330 flight during peak summer 2019:
