I've never heard of the diamond desk transferring someone over.
If the points don't post just call the diamond desk and complain and I'm sure they'll do a manual post to your account since it's only 500 points.
I've had a couple friends that have been called by them and there are a few threads on here about it (not sure if they have ever called me since I only take calls from numbers I know and if they have they haven't left voicemails) and a couple times I've stayed at properties where they have offered me points or a gift to go to a HGVC or Hilton Club desk at the hotel and I don't bother.
I'm surprised Hilton would get involved with a scam like this

I wrote to Diamond to express how rude the guy was in hanging up. They replied a few hours later to say that the points were posted, and they're there (specifically from HGVC not "makeup" ones from Diamond).
I was really surprised to be connected to a live person, rather than listening to a recorded message with the opportunity to press a NO option at the end.

With time shares the old clich about "if it sounds too good to be true" normally applies. You can sometimes find good deals on timeshares but it's never from the developer.
No hotel chain I've had top status with has tried to sell me a time share outside of Hilton. Do any other chains try this? I just think it's risky trying to sell your top tier guests a time share. Doesn't really make any sense either since a time share could be taking away nights that would be normally spent in a higher priced resort hotel

Makes sense they gave you a human instead of a recording. You can just ignore a recording. A pushy salesman is going to be a lot more likely to push you into something.
A friend of mine likes to mess with them and will ask them stuff like if they have timeshares in places like Detroit or they can pay with an EBT card
I figure telemarketers are just doing a job and will just politely say I'm not interested and hang up if they get too pushy

I recently completed a time share package at Vegas and received the $200 on us certificate which I plan to use this weekend at the Hilton San Diego Gaslamp.
I'm going over the rates and there is a $180 park and stay rate which includes valet. Does anyone know if this room type would qualify for the certificate? Under terms and conditions it mention food, parking and taxes are not included in the rebate, but since parking is already factored in the rate, I'm not sure if it will be honored or not.
Has anyone succesfully received a check while booking this room type or know if this will work? I called their call center and the rep said it would work but did not seem sure

New HGVC Offer -- Two 4-night trips for $398
About six months ago, I participated in an HGVC presentation at the New York West 57th Street property. Yesterday, I then received a call from a New Jersey area code (201) offering me a different kind of offer "based on [my] having participated in the New York HGVC" presentation. Specifically, the offer was for two separate vacations, each a 4-night / 5-day trip, for a total of $398. The first trip had to be to a specified list of properties, which included some all-inclusive resorts in Cancun, PVR, as well as Vegas, Orlando, and Myrtle Beach. The second trip apparently could be to any RCI resort location. I was also told that no presentation was required. I just had to visit. The whole thing sounded a little fishy and "too good to be true," particularly since the caller didn't seem all that sharp at all. For that reason, I declined. But has anyone heard or experienced this kind of offer? Is it a scam? Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Incessant Timeshare Telemarketing Calls
Any other HH members getting constant telemarketing calls for timeshares and Hilton Vacations? Much of the time, it is a recording with a young woman who at first seems real until you try to talk back to her.
Is there a way to "opt out" of these calls? The Federal "do not call" list won't work because it doesn't cover business entities with which you already have a relationship.

I'm just at the point where I don't answer phone calls from Orlando area codes, which is where they usually call from.
I actually don't answer my phone in general unless its a number I have saved to my contacts, or I'm expecting a call.

From the "Choices - Marketing Communications" section of the Hilton Grand Vacations Privacy Statement:
"To be added to HGV’s internal do not call list, send a message to [email protected]."
Source: http://www.hiltongrandvacations.com/...cy-policy.html
No clue if that actually works, but there's probably no downside to making the request.
