The HGVC's are Hilton run/own. Not sure about the other ones. Some of the presentations they give at the hotels have to be offsite properties, I know they try giving presentations at the DT Times square and they don't have time shares there.
With time shares the old cliché about "if it sounds too good to be true" normally applies. You can sometimes find good deals on timeshares but it's never from the developer.
No hotel chain I've had top status with has tried to sell me a time share outside of Hilton. Do any other chains try this? I just think it's risky trying to sell your top tier guests a time share. Doesn't really make any sense either since a time share could be taking away nights that would be normally spent in a higher priced resort hotel
