In light of what ends up happening to such deals, and appears to be happening to this one as we speak, I find it difficult to agree with the idea of "open sharing" with people we don't know and apparently cannot trust.

Evenings to Canada?
ANyone know any low cost Canada flights in the evening? (esp 1/30 or 1/31)
(LAX-YVR at $80~ does not run in the evening on 1/30 and is expensive on 1/31)
Why? I am going BDL-IAD-FCO-IAD-BDL and on the return (FCO-BDL-IAD) if I squeeze the canada flight on the same day as the FCO-IAD-BDL it will give me an afternoon flight BDL-IAD.($407rt) But... if I do the canada flight the next morning, to get the same price I must wait around for IAD-BDL at 10pm. Taking the earlier flight is more in that case.
(Logic, if any? I guess because if I take an afternoon flight to BDL and then next day LAX-YVR it then thinks I am having a stopover at BDL, whereas if I take the last flight to BDL and then an early morning canada flight, or all on the same day, no stopover???...disregarding that BDL and LAX are 3000 miles apart)

I am SURE there are better solutions, but for giggles, I found $155 Alaska Airlines CDV to YAK nonstop Sat, Jan 30 5:00p-5:50p. It ain't cheap, but you'll have covered some incredible distance. Plus, I doubt it would work.

Just got an email from the big O asking for a call "for a significant change to my flight schedule". I looked at the current flight times for the primary airline and the FD airline and there has been no changes to the original flight times. Anyone else had this happen before?

man, this really ticks me off.
I am thinking about opening my OWN forum where only selected FW members will be invited, and only screened ppl will be invited. I am Sure this leaked from here, there is no other place where this could have leaked. It really reminds me of how similar kinds of deal got leaked to a PPC site where the guy made a fortune from traffic.
I am seriously considering it.

This point his been discussed many, many times - both in this thread and elsewhere. Deals come, deals go - restrictions won't stop people being able to share elsewhere once they get enough posts if they really want to. FT is open to the public - whether people like it or not! And lets not forget there have been times deals have been posted on FT which were first discussed elsewhere (the big NW FD a couple of years ago was from a UK board I think, XP.fr was first being discussed on a German board).

Paul, I think you're right that this can't be dumped further unless the base fare drops. However, Winged is correct that in the past there have been ways to dump excess fuel charges that didn't involve the "third strike." These involved certain AA/BA flight combinations using L@N website, or having the fare "negotiated." I don't think either of these work any more.

You don't need to be a registered user to read the posts here and if there ever came a day where my posts where moved to a forum that I couldn't access, I would be very disappointed to say the least
The dude that posted it on SD said flat out he read it here, so there's no secret there.
New stuff comes along quite regularly, when you see it, hit it, and when you read about it, assume it's going to be posted elsewhere and subsequently shut down.
But a forum within the forum is counter productive and will just encourage MORE posts on SD from people that gain the knowledge and you can't stop that
Cheers
