Unless I'm mistaken, Qantas voluntarily grounded their entire fleet of A380's. Now I don't think that will happen in this case, but there was in fact a grounding, it was just a voluntary one.

Very true when it comes to "pilot error" but doesn't really apply when it comes to design defects. One single design defect could (and has) result in a plane that is no longer capable of flying.
