AC flight 624 from Yyz crash landed at YHZ

plane has taken out power and communications to the airport. No reports of injuries at this time.

Will post update when I get home. Currently at the casino halifax. Roads are terrible and its a bad snow storm outside.

Passengers are apparently dialling 911 from inside the aircraft.

Most up to date news says they are all off and have been taken away from the site in ambulances and fire trucks.

No doubt. Knowing the training of AC crew I expect they were dialing from outside the plane quite quickly.

I'm kind of shocked there aren't plane pics from pax on twitter yet.

CBC Halifax is saying hard landing and overun.

All power out at the airport.

Twitter saying passengers saw a bright flash, may have hit power pole.

So far I cannot find any pics on Twitter. From what I hear the plane is a total write off.

Can the name of the thread be modified? It's a bit misleading.

Crash landing, with all passengers deplaned.

I just got home from the casino. I have updated my title to say "crash landed at YHZ" when the news broke at the blackjack table it wasn't known where it crashed or the severity of the accident.

The drive home from the casino was terrible. High winds, whiteout conditions. Very heavy snow.

There are reported injuries so this would be classified as an "accident" and not an "incident".

from AC's tweet "exited runway" ? that is a interesting way of putting it.

Hopefully all the injuries are minor.
