I have had stuff like that happen a lot, when hotels shuffle you around in their internal systems.
So far the original rate (e.g. booked with breakfast inclusive) has always been honored.

Tbh I wouldn't want to spend the 2000NTD extra...

That sounds a bit much. Took us 1h15 to Sthala coming from Nusa Dua and 55 mins driving from Sthala to DPS.
But it can easily take another 1h00-1h30 from Sthala to Cicada.
