The couple of times I have had success it was by calling the hotel prior to arrival (but same day so they would have some idea og available rooms) and state that I had a reservation, I am EBG and what upgrades do you have for me. No usccess at all in Stockholm though.

Stayed two nights at a Radisson in MCO this week. They had no idea of SAS EB. I asked about late check-out, which was available until 18 if I pay for it. Saying it is a benefit with the EB-program, the receptionist asked the manager and then came back and offered me 14. 14 was enough for me, never bothered with the room upgrade.
