SK995 CPH-PEK on 02MAY16 seems to be cancelled. Does any one know the reason behind this?

Also for 02MAY16, being warned on 19APR16 (8am), I calculate this to being 13,5 days out. Is that correct?
SAS automatically moved the first flight 1 day ahead, which won't work for the Chinese transit visa

Edit:
Was wrong about SK935. Change was regarding first leg and SAS email said the flight had been changed with the info 10MAY->11MAY which just meant that it's an overnight flight

One widebody inop?

16. May afternoon an A330 was parked quite remote at EWR. Didn’t seem to be the ARN-flight and wasn’t the CPH-flight.

The OSL-rotation was served with LN-RKP, which is also the case today. RKP was ferried CPH-OSL on the 16. and departed OSL two hours late.

Interesting, left Beijing today (Wed 18) on time in a semi empty plane. So I guess there was not spill over from yesterday.

My experience is that SAS has become fairly good at re booking on other airlines when they don't have capacity on own planes on same day.

I'm not convinced it will help. LN-RKP has only made one trip in the last week. OY-KBC is the same type of aircraft, so I'm afraid it's more to do with not enough staff trained on the A340 birds. Despite A330 is a very similar bird, A330 staff can't fly the A340 birds without additional training.

I don't know about pilots, but the cabin crew are usually doing both A330 and A340.

You need a 4 engine training to get the type rating for the 340. So even thought they are basically the same planes you aren't allow to fly a 340 with a 330 type rating.
