2 hour connection enough in SFO?(International arrive- Domestic connection)

I arrive in SFO at 9:15 a.m from HKG and have a connecting flight to PDX at 11:15 a.m . (The entire itinerary is booked on United and of course I'm a US citizen.

My gut is to say yes but is your flight to PDX on United or United Express as United Express flights depart from T1 vs United Mainline departing from T-3 and you'll need to allow for transfer time if departing from T1 (and even tho you'll need to re-clear security after clearing customs and immigration, clear security in the International Terminal and take the airside walkway to T-3 (which lets you out near gate 75) for either your mainline flight to PDX or take the airside shuttle bus over to T1

Also, there is a lot of discussion over here in the United Forum

Flight from HKG is UA 862 and the flight to PDX is UA 125.

125 should be a mainline flight number with that, you eliminate the need to transfer over to T1 so you should be fine in talking the airside walkway over to T3 as that takes maybe 10 minutes with a lot of luggage (and less time without)

I don't think it makes a big difference either way, as the OP is going to have to clear security after immigration either way. The pre-security walk to T1 is almost the same distance as it is to T3.

Either way, this is a completely reasonable connection.
