Thank you very much for the head's up on this ^ and I just redeemed 3x$100 just now (and true to form, the points all posted within minutes)

Bolding mine: Looks like the "No restrictions for a limited time" is still in effect as I just redeemed another $100* (and the points again posted within minutes)

*my last HH redemption was on January 18th

charlesonmission Feb 14, 2017 4:29 pm

Indeed, that is what happened. Thanks.

Yes, this still seems to be true. I just redeemd for IHG last week. Came through Tuesday.

wadmak Feb 21, 2017 5:04 am

Today IHG points posted to my account as NON-qualifying :(

Surely not a good idea to contact Customer Service, is it?

Is it over then?

Terms and conditions on the e-Rewards page still say they should count so time to contact IHG with a link or screenfrab of that

Mauibaby2008 Feb 21, 2017 3:52 pm

That is terrible news!!

Can you still get Hilton points through E-Rewards without the monthly restriction? Or has that promo ended?

Currently says (when you go through a redemption for Hilton points):

Redemption Limitation

No restrictions for a limited time.

beachmouse Feb 22, 2017 5:50 am

Got an e-mail back from customer care today from 'Eds' saying that e-rewards points should still be EQ and they're working to fix that. It seems like IHG has had some constant minor but annoying IT issues in 2017. (Am on my phone and having issues copy and pasting only the relevant parts)

wadmak Feb 22, 2017 5:53 am

^
Lucky you :-)

All I've got was: "We have forwarded the information that you have provided to our contacts. Please allow response time of 7-10 business days."

:D

Fingers crossed

Thank you Kathy.

I just put through a reward, and it arrived in my Hilton account within minutes. A record.

Was this IHG customer care or e-rewards customer service? So I know who to complain to about it with my screenshots.

IHG customer service- there's an option for e-Rewards in the 'partner points' customer service sub-menu. I said I had screenshots of the terms & conditions, but there wasn't a way of attaching them at that point and Eds didn't ask for them in subsequent communication.

I put a missing partner points query through to ihg and they came back to acknowledge they are still elite qualifying and they have passed my query on to the 'specialist team'

wadmak Feb 22, 2017 11:39 pm

Who do you complain to about missing Hilton points? Hilton or e-Rewards? :-/

Never easy for me...

This happened to me recently. What kind of "kiss of death" is that (since I'm based in the US)?

nomii Feb 23, 2017 12:52 pm

IHG rep told me that there is an upcoming change to e-rewards coming up, so headsup on that.

But since its not official yet, they gave me my elite qualifying points for this week's transfer.

wadmak Feb 23, 2017 1:13 pm

Hi @nomii,

How did you contact them? Thanks

So what do you mean - you had that come up and they fixed it or what?

Because I had this happen last night and I was just traveling in the US, where I live. I've never had it happen before...

I reached out to e-Rewards via Twitter and they got someone to contact me back. They terminated my account claiming that the data they received from me was unusable based on certain quality checks they perform. I wrote in response that I took umbrage with their assessment; especially, given the fact that I had been honestly answering their surveys since 2005. I also felt the timing was convenient as I was increasingly encountering issues getting proper credit for my time. After tallying my redemptions (including my final two redemptions), I received just over $4k in miles, points, etc. For those of you who just opened new accounts, how's that working out?

benHogan Feb 26, 2017 1:53 pm

No problems with mine other than point inconsistencies between their website and mobile app. But u can redeem from which ever shows the more points.

beachmouse Feb 26, 2017 3:05 pm

Did another IHG redemption (I need to rebuild my points balance, EQ or not, anyways) and made my screengrab of the T&C at time of redemption. I'll let y'all know how they post, probably on Tuesday morning.

Ugh, that sounds bad. Well, I just redeemed the miles I had and I'll let things rest a few days while that goes through. But it's a shame as nothing has changed and I too have received a heck of a lot of value over the years based on getting a lot of surveys related to my company. Bummed. But thanks for getting back to share what you know.

Does anyone know when they send the Alaska miles redemptions? (ie, is there a consistent day of the week, etc,, as people describe for many of the partners?)

FYI my IHG points NON-qualifying again. :D

I've already sent a few complaints after last week redemptions. Gotta do it again... and again... and again. If any of you knows how to get to someone in charge instead of them useless muppets I have to deal with, please do tell.

They did reply that "Our records show that your past e-Rewards points was counted as qualifying points. Please allow for the recent (...) points from e-Rewards to be reflected as qualifying points." but nothing has been done about it anyway...

Same here, sent an email a few minutes ago, will keep going until the points post as elite.

nomii Feb 28, 2017 10:48 am

For IHG last week I had to do 3 rounds of email with them to get my elite qualifying posted.

Noticed that people who responded at US night-time (presumably from an outsourced center) just gave generic boiler plate responses which I doubt they even read. After replying back a few times, during US day-time someone replied back and credited me the elite qualifying points.

Same here, just checked my account and latest 4k not eq. Looks like the last time that were eq for me was near the end of December 16. I have emailed CS with a copy of erewards T&C's.

wadmak Feb 28, 2017 2:34 pm

Feb 7 was still O.K. Don't know about the 14th. 21st and 28th all wrong :-/

beachmouse Feb 28, 2017 8:10 pm

Message from IHG today-

Beginning 22 February 2017, e-Rewards have made changes to their policies and this includes e-Reward points to be posted as non-qualifying points. We believe that e-Reward will disseminate this change soon to their members. As an exception, we would be depositing points as qualifying points until e-Rewards has made members aware of the new policy.

You would see on your account that we have taken out the points that were previously deposited by e-Rewards. You will then see another activity on your account that we have deposited the 8,000 points as elite qualifying points.

Eh, it was good while it lasted. At least that 8K puts me at Platinum until the end of 2018.

Dai.Lo Feb 28, 2017 11:45 pm

man this royally sucks. it was my first deposit into igh hoping to get status.

wadmak Mar 1, 2017 12:20 am

What does it actually mean? e-Rewards has not made ME aware as of yet. Should I therefore complain about points posted yesterday as non-qualifying or let it go? :D

TravelinSperry Mar 1, 2017 1:00 am

Redeemed a United award and it showed up in my United account 5 minutes after redemption. Now that is the way to issue an award!!

So what's happened then to everyone else who has had ihg erewards points posted recently and they are clearly not been deposiTed as non qualifying. E Rerwards have not communicated any update to terms so do we have to contact CS each time to get posted as EQ.
