My account went inactive last Friday for the false reason of inactivity. I was going to contact them but forgot to do it. I checked my account last night and it was working again. I didn't have to do anything to reinstate the account.

It looks like they are really messed up.

Did you ask them to reinstate it, or have they done it on their own?

I sent CS a message, it was assigned an incident number but never received any reply then three days later it was reinstated. I am also getting some strange error messages today. I think their IT has major issues at the moment.

Are you familiar with the click thru older survey invites trick?

Yes indeed. That's how I get most of my points. :D Since that post, I crossed the $100 threshold so all is good.

That's the strange error message I was getting all day yesterday so your not on your own. The survey invites that you click on and they go to nothing constantly and then the next day you keep getting this message, that's why I think they have IT problems at the moment.

Is there currently any way to generate an e-Rewards invite from Accor? The links on earlier threads discussing this seem to be outdated.

I've just noticed e-rewards have finally changed the t and c's for redeeming ihg points, that they are now not elite qualifying

Keep contacting them until they give in and reinstate your account.

This is what I get when I sign in to my US-based account:

https://secure.accorhotels.com/gb/le...ards&type=earn

(edit- looks like it's not working now. Might try from an Iberia/Southwest/United link, which should get you all the hotels, and see if one of those works)

If you're in a participating country, you probably also still get a decent number of points for signing up and doing the first survey from Club Opinions.

For anyone getting the "error message please try again later", how long does it go on for?

beachmouse Apr 14, 2017 10:04 pm

Don't know what the usual batch processing cycle is, but the Alaska miles I redeemed fo on 4/11 were in my account on 4/14.

Too long, that's for sure.

But maybe it's just another way of saying "We don't want you anymore!"???

last night the error messages finally disappeared. However, getting another one of those pesky survey invites that when you click go to nothing but every email invites you click on you get the same survey again and again.

I feel like, today, the only way I'm going to reach $100 is $0.25 at a time..........
