Looking for suggestions on sweet spots for redemptions. I live in a podunk area where Delta has most of the gates, and I'm not sure it makes sense to add another SkyTeam program to my roster. Have about 50K United miles that are hard to use- saver availability is not great on the barbie jets that use around here if you don't have status. About 8K in a BA household account as my Oneworld partner, and 15K in WN points.
No definite plans for any of the above program participants (next few flights are on Delta) and I'm okay with flying coach rather than chasing more aspirational awards. So I'm wondering if Alaska is going to stay everyone's friend long enough for me to accrue anything meaningful in that program, or if American has the same sort of annoyingly low saver inventory on regional jets that United does of if I should figure out how to uncouple the BA Avios and somehow get them over to Iberia (not much value there with BA save for a multicity vacation Somewhere Else since the per segment thing burns those of us on the spoke) or if Southwest's rumored IT upgrades will mean I won't get so many 'you can't get there from here' messages when you're starting at an outstation....
Just spitballing a little here and trying to find value on routes out of podunk.

Not sure what the sweet spots are. IHG points still valid for status. Hertz can be useful, but they can be accrued only once in quarter and expire quietly after 2 years without any warnings.
Otherwise I redeem for Avios, as I can get 3000 to Iberia, 1000 to BAEC and 1000 to Avios.com in the same month.

I contacted their CS and they actually said I should do 1 survey a week to keep my account active. It took 3 emails to get this absurd response (which is clearly untrue) since I've gone 6 months without a survey and my account remained active. I've never dealt with such poor CS in my life. They make Comcast look like Amex!

does anyone know if the redemptions that are quarterly limited (e.g., Hertz, Hhonors) are rolling or have a schedule? If they have a schedule anyone figured out when they reset?
used Hertz points this weekend to book a 2day rental w/1100 pts. It would have cost $145 for both days, but after applying the points it was only $15 (taxes). That is incredible value for e-rewards $. More than $1 per 1 e-reward "Dollar" (1100 pts costs $120 e-rewards). No other redemption else comes remotely close.

If you place the Pointbreak system well, you can get that kind of return ($125 e-rewards for 5K IHG points) you can sometimes get a $150+ room night for that, but it requires a fair amount of luck and good timing to get it to line up.

What do people use for Car Rental Collision insurance when using Hertz Points?
Awesome score, and makes the long wait for Hertz points worth it.

Hertz is per quarter really, you can redeem on 30 September and then on 1 October, then you wait until next quarter.

I'm getting the same thing for a $4.00 Entertainment survey. It always lets me click through to the next survey if there is one though
