Yes Olive Garden is part of Darden as is Red Lobster.. Longhorn, etc all of the individual restaurant gift cards can be used at all Darden restaurants

With no expectations, I went to a local CVS store earlier this week armed with four coupons, each good for a free package of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products.

The sale price this week is four packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products for $10.00, along with a CVS card worth $10.00 if $30.00 or more in Coca-Cola products are purchased.

Sure enough, the small cart was groaning with twelve packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products, which totaled $30.00. Without even blinking an eye and with a smile on her face, the person at the cash register discounted $4.99 four times — once for each of my coupons — and gave me the CVS card worth $10.00, which I plan to use to pick up another four packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products for $10.00.

Except for waiting five minutes in line, the whole experience was quick and effortless.

Total cost of the entire purchase of what will be sixteen packages of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products, which equals 2,304 ounces of carbonated soda: $10.94 or slightly greater than 68 cents per package of 12 cans of Coca-Cola products, including sales tax — not to mention also including at least an additional 160 My Coke Rewards points without any special promotion.

That is simply insane — but I am not complaining...

Youse guys are doing a lot better than I did on my powerade purchase today. I had a rain check that had an 8 pack of 20 oz powerade for $3.49 (current price is $4.49) but you had to buy 10, 8 packs. So I get them and at the register they take another 10 cents off per so I am paying $3.39/8 pack. The I get two coupons that are $5 off a minimum of a $5 purchase so I can buy something, get $5 off, walk out, walk back in and use the other $5 off coupon. Considering the price I paid, the $10 in coupons and the whopping 9.25% sales tax on the powerade (Crook County, IL) it ends up being $27.12 for 1600 ounces. In 12 oz can terms it comes out to 11.11111111 12 packs or a paltry $2.44/12 pack :mad: In powerade terms though not bad, under $0.02/ounce.

Squares Bowl (SuperBowl pool game)
 

Has anyone spent time thinking about how best to pick entries in this "don't call it the SuperBowl" pool game? There are 100 squares to pick from, but it seems to me that some squares are more likely than others.... is it even possible for the SuperBowl to end up with a score that totals '2'?

Anyway, I've been thinking along this line:

1. Start by picking all the multiples of 7: 7, 14, 21,28, 35, 42, 49, 56, 63, 70, 77, 84, 91, 98
2. Next, pick the numbers that account for the game ending when the winning side scores a touchdown and there isn't time left to kick the field goal: 13, 20, 27, 34, 41, 48, 55, 62, 69, 76, 83, 90, 99
3. Then pick the numbers that account for the game being decided by a field goal: 3, 10, 17, 24, 31, 38, 45, 52, 59, 66, 73, 80, 87, 94
4. Then account for the possibility that one side misses a field goal after a touchdown, by subtract 1 from each of the possible scores in scenarios A, B and C: 6, 9, 12, 16, 19, 13, 20, 23, 26...

The game board locks in 9 days, and you can only pick 10 squares a day, so there isn't enough time left to enter 100 picks in a single MCR account...

My understanding was that they were going to add random numbers between 0-9 to the outside edges and go with that, so picking a number isn't really isn't tied to the score.
