Did y'all really play this game a hundred times? Wow.

With rainy weather outside this weekend, I stayed indoors and listened to my favorite NPR programs on the radio, and played the Family Dollar game. With practice, I could complete a game in less than four minutes. The final tally: 1800 points. Thank you, FlyerTalk!

Found 2 Gatorade caps (6 points each during promotion) and a sprite cap while jogging so I gambled my 15 points and came up with a free 12 pack of coke. Winner, winner, chicken dinner :D

I do think it is random as the candy cane grabbed something I wasn't even trying for LOL.

It's totally random. T&C's say: "There will be 69,120 random, computer-generated winning times during the Promotion Period, 1 per minute of the Promotion Period (1 for each prize listed below). And those same T&C's will tell you that you can earn five free plays per day.

But why spend 15 points when you can get five free entries per day?

The Family Dollar game is no longer providing codes. At least not for completing the game as outlined in post 6299. YMMV.

There definitely should have been more basic controls in the game, but I don't think they expected it to get Flyertalked this badly.

MCR is accepting the Family Dollar codes again, which is great for me, since I have a bunch to redeem.

Added: Of course the 500 PC points rewards are out of stock, so I have nothing to spend the MCR points on right now.

I think a couple other boards also had people hitting it hard. I checked Slick Deals, and it seemed like some folks there were also trying to get the 2000 point max.

The game took way too long on my computer, so I only did a couple, no where near the 2000 point max. I'd appreciate it if anybody that did reach the max and has extra codes would pm me some.

I gotten 2000 points last night and I ordered my 4 in 1 Digital Binocular Camera. After 16 weeks of getting these points and putting 120 in every week, it finally paid off!!

Played the game last night but didn't get an email with a code. I had played the game successfully one time a few days ago, so I guess 20 points is better than nothing.

With the 2000 PC points award gone, and the 500 PC points out of stock, there is nothing that I want at this point. Guess I'll keep collecting points in hope that changes at some point. tls
