E-Reward Account Cancelled !?!?!

On Sunday, 3/31, I had $49.95 in my account, and redeemed for 1000 HH points for $25. I was just a little disappointed at loosing out on 2000 HH points for a nickel.

You can imagine my aggravation when I got to work on 4/1 and found an email in my box for $1 - plus, the supposed expiring points were still in my account.

I sent them an email asking them to revisit my account & asking them to redeem for the additional HH points.

Today, 4/4, I went to log into my account, and to my surprise I got this message:

"Sorry, you have cancelled your e-Rewards membership. You may open a new e-Rewards account by clicking here."

So now, to add insult to injury, I'm out the $25+ that was in the account as of Monday.

I can't find a phone number for these bozo's anywhere (my apologies to the clown). Anyone have one?

Mary

Just my two cents: I think you would do well by writing to them in a polite email asking them to research what happened with your account. Let them know that in no way do you desire to close out your account. I'm sure they will come through, re-instate your account, and post the points deleted.

It was probably just some mix-up by an employee. We're all human; we do make mistakes.

I know you were asking for a phone #, but I don't have one for 'em. I just thought I'd offer up an alternative suggestion.

Follow-up

I called e-rewards at the HQ number listed above by CutStyle today.

I was connected to someone obviously NOT from customer service, as they indicated that someone would either call me or contact me today with a resolution to my cancelled account problem.

They just sent me the email below:

Good Afternoon Mary2e
I apologize for any inconvenience you have experienced with the e-rewards
program. Your account is active and has been credited an additional $25.00
so that you may redeem for the desired 3,000 Hilton Points. Please accept
the original 1,000 points you originally received for the inconvenience.

If you have any additional questions or problems please do not hesitate to
contact us.

The additional $25 are already in my account and it had been reinstated within 1 hour of my speaking to her (the email just came in).

I still don't know why the account was cancelled, and I don't need the HH points right now, so I'm just going to hold on to them until next year.

Thanks for your advise!

Mary
