eTour limits award redemption
I went to etour to redeem my points for a gift certificate and learned that they now post how many certificates they have for the week. The redemption week starts on Saturday at 2 PM and when all the certificates allotted for the week are gone you have to wait until the next week to try and redeem.
I wanted a CDNow certificate and they were gone for the week. I'll have to try to hit them on a Saturday.

ditto on cordelli's experience. Last Sat I was in at 2:00, selected my reward, which showed all (27 of 27) being available. I hit the redeem button, and my pc then hung for a couple of hours with no response, so I disconnected, logged back in and ... voila! Now 0 of 27 available. I sent a note to etour, and received a response something to the effect that they were aware of the problem and hoped to make some additional changes in the next several weeks to improve the matter.

The people I feel sorry for are the ones that still have merchandise left that they can't even give away, the Dr Tech or whatever it is above the Red Cross. It's got to drive them nuts that all the others are at zero left, and they still have 200.
By the way, the Red Cross isn't the worst place to give a few dollars to, if all it takes is a few mouse clicks and you'll never be able to redeem then anyways.

Today all the good stuff was gone by 2:10 PM EST! They sped up the ability of people to get into etour but while trying to get what you wanted they ran out!
It's like the Oklahoma land rush - only worse.

Woohoo! I got my Target $10 gift certificate in the mail today. Now I can delete the bookmark and forget about this LOSER website!

I managed to get the CDNow certificate at 11:00 AM PST today.
I'll stick with e-tour daily visits. I only have the travel websites marked and I come across some new interesting ones every few days.
For a minute a day of clicking I still think they are a good deal for a $10 cert every other month. Let's see if they still have any gift certificates come July.
