PROBLEMS REDEEMING MYPOINTS
O.K. I'm trying to cash out 5000 My Points, and have been for the last 40 days.
It seems everytime I apply for Hhonors points the transaction gets accepted, then 7-10 days later the points get put back into my account.
This is the fourth time this has happened.
Has anyone else had this problem???

Well Canadian, I'm sorry but you are Canadian.
Actually so am I. In the US now but when I was in Canada and redeemed my 5,000 MyPoints for Vacation Miles (to AA), I remember having to do a "ship to" a US address. I'm not sure if you had to too which would mean there is another problem, or if you didn't and that might be the problem.
Bottom line-- MyPoints will take forever to get an answer from.
The other possibility is that MyPoints screwed up... again. My partner has tried cashing out 20,000 MyPoints for a free ticket through Vacation Miles and the miles were redeposited. The course of action taken was to write them, write them again and finally go through PlanetFeedback.com for resolution. It has yet to be finalized, but we're hopeful since this site has worked 2 for 2 in the past with problems we had.
My best recommendation right now is write member services, write them again, and then once more for good measure. They have tended to respond quickly with multiple messages, and I've cashed out 5,000 points 5 times now.
If that doesn't work, redeem your miles again and see what happens.
If you have other questions, drop me a line. Maybe I can help.
Good luck!

Just received another 5,000 AAdvantage miles certificate I will be sending off today...
I've heard nothing but problems for most people on this site, but so far I'm getting all the credits I've requested...
Knock on wood.

Hats off to all who are redeeming with no problems. I submitted a redeemption of MYPoints for HHonors points in mid October and to date nothing has posted to my HHonors account. The only response to my 5 emails to Mypoints is the acknowledgment letter from they received my email. I've called Mypoints, get voice mail, emailed HHonors, not even a response from HHonors. The names on the MyPoints & HHonors accounts match, so that shouldn't be a problem. Anyone else having this problem?

I'm having the same problem. Redeemed points for a Hyatt award the first couple of days of October. Same thing as you are encountering, lots of emails, no action.

Called Mypoints again this a.m. and ran my story by the lady who answered the phone. She was going to transfer me to Jeff who was handling a lot of the HHonors redemption issues. I told her I had already left a voice mail with Jeff, which he must have ignored or I missed his call, I have voice mail but no message from Jeff. Told the lady I wanted to talk to a real person. She said she would transfer me to the president of the company and I asked who was the "acting" president today and she stated his name. Guess what I got? Yep, voice mail. The "president" gave out his cell # with instructions to call him or press 0 if it was urgent( and get transferred to another voice mail, I don't think so) or leave a voice mail for him, which I did. I'll give him a day to return my call.
IF (that's a big if
he returns my call I'll let you folks know and I'll post his cell # which I suspect many of you already have. Luck to all.

I had had problems too with recent attempts at redeeming mypoints for HHonors. The points would be set aside for about a week, then were added back to the total. After several emails and going arounds, a couple of calls to Rosie (presumably she was the HHonors transfer expert at the time), the transaction finally went through. It took almost two months, though. I hope I won't have to repeat this for the next transfer...

OH HAPPY DAY

I called Hhonors customer care and ran my tale of woe my Denise. She wasn't familiar with Mypoints but said she would be glad to credit my account with 2,000 points for goodwill.
If at first you don't succeed, try, try again and then call the right person.

anz5708,
Rosie is (was?) with Mypoints. They first tried to blame the problem on HHonors, but I knew better since both my husband and a friend had also been having the same problem trying to claim different awards. It may take more than one phone call, but you should be able to straighten out the mess eventually.
