I funded my card and haven't got a referral fee yet. I will emailed net spend and they are not very helpful.
check that. I got one referral fee. I don't know which one, if it was the sign up one or the referral one. I guess I will see if another one posts.

So you get a sign-up bonus when you use someone in the Conga, and that person whose link you used gets a referral. You get added to the Conga. Then when your turn in the Conga is up, you get the referral, and the next person gets the bonus.

Finally got my card in the mail and am trying to fund it. Having problems w/ my crappy little community credit unions site, cosidering half of the features of it dont work at night. Gaspony, your referrral is coming. Probably even gonna do instant tranfser as I dont have any funds in paypal right now and my cc's site doesn't have the capabilities of doing the standard bank transfer. Hopefully it'll credit by today or tomorrow.

Here was my process:
Took about a week for the netSpend debit card to arrive by USPS snail mail. Activated it online.
I chose to fund my initial $40 via ACH transfer from my credit union. I chose this path because my CU doesn't charge any fees to transfer funds to an outside bank. Except it took an additional week for my CU to approve the external transfer account.
Once my CU approved the external transfer account, I subsequently moved $40 from my CU checking account into netSpend.
The $40 took about two or three days to appear in my netSpend account. At the same time $20 appeared instantaneously from being referred by tys90. After alexyoung59 did his, the additional $20 came in and I now had $80 in my netspend account.
After reading the T&Cs, it seems like netSpend takes $1 per transaction. So I linked my netSpend debit card to my Serve account and moved $79 from netSpend to Serve. $1 was for the transaction charge taken by netSpend so balance on netSpend is now zero.
$79 in Serve, now moving back to CU checking account. Overall $39 profit for adding $40 into account, though it did took a while from start to finish, almost 3 weeks. I'm sure others could do faster depending on how fast the mail arrives for the debit card and choosing a faster route like PayPal to fund your initial $40.

Here is my update from earlier in the thread on my timeline of the process -
Signed up June 8. Card received June 17. Setup ACH on June 18. Confirmed ACH setup on June 20. Sent initial $40 via ACH on June 20. Received referral bonus from bensim on June 24. ACH deposited on June 25 and received instant bonus by using vodkashine to sign up.
Pretty easy stuff.
Pretty easy stuff.
I actually received the Referral Bonus from someone using my link in the Conga before I received the Sign Up Bonus, but once the funding ACH cleared the Sign Up Bonus was instant.
YMMV or things may have change since I did it back in June of last year.

Does the $40 have to be done via ACH transfer? I funded via REloadits...
Just noticed this in the T&C
No rewards credited to either party if referred individual had a NetSpend card that was used for a value load, purchase, cash withdrawal or incurred a balance inquiry fee, at any time during the 180 calendar days before the day the $40 load requirement is fully met.
