Ryanair-a good report!
I have flown it about a dozen times and as long as you follow the rules (correct weight baggage, check in on time and pay for priority boarding) they have been fine.
More than be said for many of my fellow passengers on the leisure destinations.
Two positive story's:-
Going out from East Midlands to Girona in September-advised of 90 min delay, kept informed and eventually boarded less than hour late.
Captain explained an earlier flight at Limoges had been involved in a bird strike and his aircraft had taken its place.Promised to get us there asap - and that he did, foot down all the way and only 1hour 45mins to Girona.
Our return flight last Thursday-advised at check in there was a ATC problem in the UK and we were delayed by 90 mins. Announcement board kept being updated and again we were boarded only 60 mins late with again the Captain giving a full explanation and promising a quick flight as French Airforce were having an evening off.
Returned to East Midlands in just over an two hours.
On both delays we were kept fully informed.
Apparently all the Girona/UK flights got back and this on the night that BA,Easyjet etc. cancelled 35 flights
Incidentally on both sectors we noticed that virtually all PAX brought there own drinks on board (The EM Boots £3.99 for a decent sandwich,a snack a a half litre soft drink is a bargain - it would cost you £9 on board) so much so that the trolly service passed twice around the cabin, with few sales.
Similar pricing (but including wine) at Girona departure lounge.
How long before RA drops its trolly prices?

Ive flown Ryanair a few times and Ive bought something to drink. Ive had such low prices that Im more than willing to pay to buy on board. Maybe its because Ive gotten used to that on SAS flights. Most of the time when flying them, I do not buy anything. Its a kind of protest against a legacy carrier offering nada for free even if youre their own EuroBonus Gold. Well, Im not gold anymore, partly because I have other options that offer food and drinks for free.

Under-promise and over-deliver... I now see that if you have a delay is better to just say "2 hours" and if the delay in the end is less than that apparently the customers will be happy, who would've thought?

Just so you know Silverswimmer, the abbrevations for Ryanair are FR or RYR.
RA is Royal Nepal Airlines.
Nitpicking, I know, but this is Flyertalk
Good to know your flights went well. I've flown with FR many times over a good many years and I've still not had any negative experiences or luggage lost. Some flights have been remarkably pleasant and I don't recall a single instance where I've not been kept informed. Whilst I dislike the management style and policies that creep into the FR experience, the frontline staff have been almost invariably good, sometimes superb.
I don't completely trust Ryanair. But the way I see it, if I put an extra £5 from every flight I've had with FR into an insurance fund for when they will/might eventually let me down, that will have already put a few hundred pounds into the kitty for emergency expenditure. And there are a few legacy carriers I trust (and have reason to trust) even less than FR.

Whoops
Sure I know that Ryanair is FR but as I am flying RA to Katmandu next week my mind and fingers didn't connect.
(and hoping to do the Buddha Air flight - code escapes me!)
