Ryanair-a good report!

I have flown it about a dozen times and as long as you follow the rules (correct weight baggage, check in on time and pay for priority boarding) they have been fine.

More than be said for many of my fellow passengers on the leisure destinations.

Two positive story's:-

Going out from East Midlands to Girona in September-advised of 90 min delay, kept informed and eventually boarded less than hour late.

Captain explained an earlier flight at Limoges had been involved in a bird strike and his aircraft had taken its place.Promised to get us there asap - and that he did, foot down all the way and only 1hour 45mins to Girona.

Our return flight last Thursday-advised at check in there was a ATC problem in the UK and we were delayed by 90 mins. Announcement board kept being updated and again we were boarded only 60 mins late with again the Captain giving a full explanation and promising a quick flight as French Airforce were having an evening off.

Returned to East Midlands in just over an two hours.

On both delays we were kept fully informed.

Apparently all the Girona/UK flights got back and this on the night that BA,Easyjet etc. cancelled 35 flights

Incidentally on both sectors we noticed that virtually all PAX brought there own drinks on board (The EM Boots £3.99 for a decent sandwich,a snack a a half litre soft drink is a bargain - it would cost you £9 on board) so much so that the trolly service passed twice around the cabin, with few sales.

Similar pricing (but including wine) at Girona departure lounge.

How long before RA drops its trolly prices?
