BA KSML meals

There should be different meals in Y/J/F as follows:
  • Y is served on basic disposables
  • J is served on china
  • F is heated in foil and plated on (new specifically supplied) Wedgwood

Recently however, i have been served J breakfasts in F and the bread trays are constantly missing.

BA does not have the KSML seen under control - i am in the middle of trying to fix this.......

I just flew BA F and had everything plated and everything done properly as it was supposed to be. The only time I didn't get my food plated was when I was eating my delicious lunch in the CCR Dining Room. Otherwise, no issue at all.

Just curious, who exactly are you to "fix" this?

Is it just me or do BA now only serve the Hermolis "Cottage Pie" on all long haul ex LHR flights in Y and W? I think I have been getting these every time for the last 2 years.

As a high value customer I am in contact with BA management.

They are now introducing KSML to some routes that have not had till now including ACC & NBO..... I know this may not help everyone

Well done, arir! I got a KSML ex-Delhi last week, and that's not happened for a long time. They used to uplift the NBO KSMLs from London but that stopped a few years ago.

I remember getting on the flight at NBO to find the CSD literally shouting at the ground staff - my KSML (in F class) was actually a completely "normal" (ie treif) meal with a sticker on it saying "KSML". They told him that it wasn't their fault as the flight had been catered out of the origin station, which was Lilongwe.

Luckily I'd flown in from London the previous day (same crew) and hadn't eaten my KSML on the outbound (can't remember why) and had left it if the fridge at the BA lounge at NBO airport. So I was able to have that one on the return. Whew! And still got a bottle of Blue Label for my inconvenience - ah, those were the days!

The general rule is a different colour scheme/name if other franchisees under that Rabbanut jurisdiction are not kosher. Sometimes it is just weird. CafeCafe and Kosher CafeCafe are both kosher in Jerusalem. Stupid rule. They should make the trief mcdonalds in Israel be a second class citizen in some awful colour scheme (worse than blue).

I ate once at KFC in Israel. Was so awful that it reminded me of the awful kosher fast food in New York. Maybe they should make a law that all the crappy fast food chains in Israel have to use a black and white colour scheme, plastic chairs, and...

... My internet has come back online ...

Can't wait till blue mcdonalds turn up in China.

Just checked the PH recently. Is mehadrin beit yosef. each to his or her own as to whether he or she is happy with that. I can only assume that it is shomer shabbos; if only in a technical way (shutfus).

Also possible that they're actually closed on Shabbat.

Bottom line, does this mean Pizza Hut is kosher in Israel?
