Slightly OT, but for Kosher eaters flying out of TLV:
In the main food court just before security, there's a Pizza Hut just next to the post office. If your back is to security, it's all the way on the right side. The food is pretty good, and service is fine. Price is a bit steep, but it's under Badatz of Beit Yosef! Nice alternative, especially for Mehadrin eaters.

Are you sure they're shomer shabbat? My kids were so excited to see kosher PH but I didn't let them eat as I wasn't sure. And that "kosher" MacDonad next door? For some reason I thought kosher Mickey D was required to use different colour scheme (like that blue one at J'lem central bus station)?

McDonald's in TLV is Kosher, just regular and not Mehadrin.
As for Pizza Hut, I personally have no idea as I don't fly on Shabbat, so I've never seen it. But it's under the Badatz Beit Yosef, and Mehadrin. They wouldn't give that hechsher if they weren't Shomer Shabbat.

Can anyone advise if there is any difference between Hermolis business meal on AA vs first meal?
Ive had business many times. It is 2 separate trays:
(i) starter - usually smoked fish (big portion), (once had duck instead which was great). Also a large salad or pasta salad. Tray also has bread and mixed nuts (which really should be served prior to the meal when they serve drinks and nuts).
(ii) separate main course tray with chicken or beef dish. Another roll. Plus cake etc.
All served on AA branded plates and AA cutlery (which I find interesting - AA must provide these new to Hermolis).
Would be interested to know if First is any different.

As for a difference in J or F I know BA serves basically a Y meal to those in Club but a feast to those in F, a sdo alot of other Carriers. So they go with either a Y or FC meal and Biz usually ends up with the reg Y meal.
Ive only done AA in Y to/from LHR I prefer BA whenever I can get them

As promised, here’s the breakfast meal. Same caterer and packaging.
This time, I took pictures, so if someone can help me figure out how to upload pics, I’ll be glad to share them!
The main packaging included cutlery/napkins/salt/cup, as well as a mezonot roll, fruit, coffee packet, strawberry jam, and Israeli cream cheese (which is much more liquidy than American cream cheese). No cookie though or muffin, which there usually is. Bit disappointed. But the fruit was decent. Fresh orange and grapefruit (red and white) slices, I believe from Israel.
The meal was a cheese omelet with some seasoning, couple of potatos, and a cooked grape tomato. Tomato was good! The egg was very good though.
Presentation: B
Taste: B+/A-
Portion: C+/B-

many Carriers serve a KSML on reg Carrier China, theres x amount of breakage every year where they need to replace the places etc anyway , so this way they can kill 2 birds with 1 stone, replace the china and have the person eating in style. Needless to say the china is used Only 1 time for a kosher meal and then gets put in the reg inventory

In theory, ex-JNB and ex-CPT gets different KSML meals in each class (with WT+ the same as WT). But I got a J class meal ex-CPT (in F class) a few months ago.

Confirmed - at least ex LHR. BA definitely has a different Hermolis product in Y/J/F. But out of SYD you'll probably get the same Y class meal (Lewis' - yuck!) in all classes. Not very impressed!

Flew CO90, EWR-TLV, and the food is from Borenstien in Brooklyn, who are actually owned by El Al. Unfortunately, I don't have a report because Continental didn't load enough Kosher meals onto the flight.

I think Refgal and Borenstein are both out of ElAls kitchen, dont know why the different names
but anything is better then UAs KoshAir with the lone exceptoion of those K-ration lifetime shelf meals

from another poster it seems they might have gone back to serving a Biz meal rather then a Y meal
