I don't think airlines should mix the heating of different meal types due to allergy/food poisoning concerns but it would be interesting to find out. I'll ask every airline I fly and report back at the end of the year.
Food poisoning is a non issue, the only way any type of virus that we would call food poisoning could be transferred like that is if it was a heat resistant aerosol. Which food poisoning is not.

There are heat stable toxins produced by food poisoning.

How many times have you received your frozen meal back not properly heated? At the end of the day, the airliners are concerned with food poisoning. As it can happen and has happened.

DL SYD/LAX

Does anyone know how the KSMLs are (or who provides them) on DL for LAX-SYD or SYD-LAX?

Got an answer from Delta. Borenstein from USA, Lewis from Sydney.

There have been some reports of Lewis being much better in the last couple of years, can anyone confirm or deny?

Does anyone know what kind of KSML meal to expect ex-Athens flying Air Canada (Rouge) to YYZ. Is it from YYZ or do they get something in Athens in this case (they fly YYZ-ATH then turn around in a few hours and go ATH-YYZ, this happens a couple of times a week only).

Also, what is served ex-ATH by Aegean airlines (the Greek carrier)?

I think AC will use Stogel Longlife from Athens - that's what I got on Singapore in business class from ATH...
Re Agean - I got a long life meal from WAM.

Im LH opened some Y space for miles after Succos the other day. Was booked on A3 via ATH to FRA to connect back to PHL. I now also was able to get an assigned seat and an aisle rather then play A3s lottery and get stuck in a middle seat

Just a quick update
LH Y out of TLV was a complete trainwreck, it seems to me that Hamasbia has recently gotten considerably worse.
LX on European flights in Y (1,5 h) will still give you a piece of kosher cake and some parve coffee creamer. Its nothing to write home about, but I think its a very nice gesture.

From my own experience, Hamasbia has certainly not got worse, however (and also from experience) their offering is highly dependent on what the airline is willing to pay.

Same here. I got a great Hamasbia meal on LX C recently and a very run of the mill on UA Y.

I ought to add that on a recent flight from Europe in EL AL business class, I commented on the quality of the Hamasbia meal. The crew told me that in their experience, if there were spare meals left over the crew members prefered the Hamasbia to the regular meals.
