Right, but his point is as far as kashrus is concerned, vegetarian meals are just as problematic, if not more so, than meat meals. Ham isn't the worst this to eat halachikly speaking. So how did you determine your level of kashrus

In any case best to take your own during Pesach. Have a hearty breakfast and buy some water after you get through security at LCY.
We did indeed take our own breakfast including my wife's marvellous matzo meal rolls with smoked salmon! Interestingly BA out of LCY now offer a hot breakfast in economy. No kosher option but outside of Pesach I will happily go for the vegetarian hot breakfast

Not wanting to question your level of kashrut observance, but just pointing out that the veggie hot meal will probably be heated in the same oven at the same time as the non-kosher breakfasts - very probably with bacon and pork sausages. They'll have a foil cover on each casserole but that's perforated to speed up the cooking process in the fan oven.

Thank you for not wanting to question my level of kashrut observance.....I think my previous posts make it quite clear!

Not that FF needs my defense, but his point was that your hot vegetarian meal will per halacha have the meat status which you eschew. This would not be the case for the cold meal. Obviously though, it doesn't feel the same as eating a piece of bacon.

The reason for my post was informative - most people just don't realise that all the meals get heated in the same oven. I have a couple of (non-Jewish) vegetarian / vegan colleagues who won't for that reason have the "vegetarian" hot meal unless its been heated separately.

Interestingly enough on last night's flight from AGP-LGW (in CE) the VLML meal was heated separately. And the KSML I had (Hermolis, uplifted from LGW) was actually very good, even though it was a Pesach meal, nearly a week after the festival had ended!)

I don't think airlines should mix the heating of different meal types due to allergy/food poisoning concerns but it would be interesting to find out. I'll ask every airline I fly and report back at the end of the year.
