Qualiflyer System Breakdown?

I tried to book an award flight today, and appears to me that the system - both online and call center - must have broken down, or at least parts of it.

When trying to book online, all I got for repeated requests on different routes and dates was "Sorry, no bookable airline found"., whilst the Swiss website showed all of these flights wide open. (I know the theoretical possibility of only the award classes being booked out, but with the various request for different dates and routes I find that highly unlikely.)

I the called the Qualiflyer Service Center in Germany, worked my way through the endless phone menues, but when typing the code for being connected to a service agent, always got a rather strange engaged sign upon numerous tries.

To me this looks like Qualiflyer is down today. Any advice or similar experiences?

two weeks ago i encountered the same problem, but instead of calling the qualiflyer numbers i then called at the SNBA number in brussels and they put me through. you could also try via the Swiss telephone number in your country.

Don't know about the award booking feature, but I checked my account today online and it worked fine.

I encountered a somehow similar problem when I tried to book an award ticket. I was in the Swiss Army at that time and the only way of communicating with Qualiflyer was via phone. I called around 10pm and I got a strange tone, too. It seems as if you call after the usual business hours in your country, instead of being transfered to the service desk of some other country, you end up in a dead alley....

I was checking non-LX award availability on Thursday-Friday, quite successfully in the beginning, but then the agent said: "Uh-oh, the systems are going down, can you call again in a few hours?".

On Friday they were up and running again.
