Flying out of DOH mid week. Trying to manage booking/ select meals…but only the
usual special menu items are there. Is there a trick to this? First time on QR and I
must say booking seats and menu has been a hassle.

Has anyone flown Phuket to Doha recently and received the new Chef Ton menu? I am flying in next month and trying to decide whether to choose a special meal as I am on a low carb diet, but will make an exception if I can try the new michelin menu !! I'm flying morning 9.05am QR843 Phuket - Doha, then QR23 to Doha to Manchester 2.30pm. I don't know if morning flights will have the new menu so just wanted to check. Thanks in advance

Here's the business class menu for QR908 DOH-SYD. I was flying in F, but asked for the menu as I wanted to see which dishes were on both menus. I'll mark the ones that were also on the First Class menu with (F).

If they offer prebooking meals (only ex DOH on some long routes >5h) the choices appear about 14 days before departure.

Pre-Select Dining

I don't think its working properly currently. I've lost/not had the pre-select option for upcoming flights in the appropriate window. Sent a message to PC chat, got told that it works fine and my flight is eligible for the option. Textbook QR service there.

I would note though, I've had mixed experience with the option appearing in-app or on a mobile web browser. It has reliably appeared on a desktop browser (or using desktop browsing mode on mobile).

what is a chef ton menu? I can’t find any reference to this anywhere?

It's a special menu designed by (the Michelin starred) 'Chef Ton' for certain routes in AP (Bangkok/Singapore primarily I believe).

Regarding the Singapore menu posted, it's interesting that they have an identical menu on the flight departing Singapore at around 10am as the one departing at around 8pm. Similarly, the menu is identical on the flight from Doha to Singapore departing at around 8pm as the morning one.

Doing DOH - LHR next week (not flying Qatar in the opposite direction) so hoping it makes an appearance on this flight!
