As everyone I have seen so far have had face covering, and there have been multiple announcements after meal time to remind people to put their masks back on, I would say that it is highly recommended.
Either ways if you can get your hands on any face covering it would be a good idea to wear them...

There is no reason why this couldn't be served with covers, perhaps in bowls.. Based on photos of other meals I've seen on the board during Covid times.
