The fleet type codes such as 77P or 77K are what can be used to identify the type of aircraft under "Check Routing" on www.qrcargo.com. The aircraft type on QR Cargo is fairly accurate if you search for a flight within the current calendar month.

Ugg! I hate hot flights! I can't sleep when it's hot. Much better to make the cabin cold for sleeping and let everyone use a warm blanket. Science shows people sleep better when their heads are cool.

Professional Bum the A350 cabin is wider and you can feel the difference and the noise level in the A350 cabin is much lower

It's a real pain on a 9 hour nightflight where you want to catch some sleep

A320 no video: Do they hand out a tablet in J???
Hi,
has anyone recently used an A320 with reclining seats and without video on demand? I would like to know if they hand out a tablet in J on those flights, and if this tablet contains lots of choices, especially children's programs?
Any info appreciated :-)
BR,
Andy

andiiiiiiiiii as you can see from the Wiki on this thread that two of the four A320 variations do not have AVOD.
For longer flights (probably five hours or more?) tablets are usually available. They may be distributed at departure but you may need to ask for one.
For shorter flights they are usually not available. Reports on this forum suggest that they are loaded with a small subset of what is available.
I say maybe, probably and may because it it usually up to the cabin crew if they will distribute them or not. But again they may not even have been loaded.

@remdk, thanks but this doesn't sound very consistent at all . Let's see what they do on the 5h SJJ-DOH flight, which is often served with A320 without video...
I guess I need to put some children's movies onto my laptop (flying is the only time when the kids are allowed to watch TV as much and as long as they like, that's actually their highlight when flying ;-) )

5 A330-200 (the ones with the B/E MiniPod J) are going to be leased to Air Italy from April. I'm not sad to see them go personally.

My 321 ex BEG has been changed to a 320. I read that if they have 28 rows they should be lie-flats, but checking on Expert Flyer I see 30 rows with the last two rows blocked. Would this mean a 28 row plane? Or are they keeping their options open? Not a big deal but it would be nice to know - it's my mate's first QR J trip and new seats would be nice.

Just flew the old B/E MiniPod A332s from Rome to Doha; and I thoughts the IFE was probably the best out of them all.
First of all, there is LIVE TV on the flight, with 7 channels I think (Japanese channel, CNN, Euronews, Eurosport, BBC, Aljazeera English, Aljazeera Arabic). The internet is also pretty fast, faster than the 787s.

I had the same scenario earlier this month. Our plane did end up being a 30-row 321 with recliner seats.
