My experience is a little different - I could discern no difference in treatment.

I certainly came across a diference bwtween WP and WP PG - This manifested itself in seat pre-allocation for Qantas domestic flights. Were I was generally getting aisle seats in rows 7-9 on 737's as a WP, I now get rows 4 and 5 almost all the time as a WP PG.

I guess I'll see when I next fly QF in Australia in a few days time if treatment is different or not.
Methinks your current Platinum status will override any LTSG ...

I'd tend to agree. LTSG may generate $0 for QF whereas WP is closer to a gold mine for them.

But a WP with LTSG indicates high revenue and long term loyalty (or short term insane flying). I would assume that if they were ranking within WP that WPLTSG would rate above WP but not sure if it would be above WPPG...

Maybe one of the QF insiders here can share some thoughts on this. Who can see the different level of WPs. Cabin crew, ground crew? Yield Management? Paging workflyer....

At a guess, FF service centre, yeild management and management in general.

I very much doubt check-in and cabin crew have access to this information.

Different all right and not in a good way.

Flight was full and had a (late addition?) basketball team onboard. They nabbed lots of aisle seats - naturally as cannot fit in a middle seat. My forward aisle preference (and preallocated seat) counted for nothing and I got reassigned to a rear middle seat (high 30s row number on 767) I did manage to change to an aisle seat, but not as far forward as I'd like. As the flight was full I had choice of that or the middle seat - nothing else available

CSM introduced herself and offered assistance, but then couldn't get me a newspaper (I'm sure we don't have enough), or help with my duty free order or a glass of water or anything else. What is the point of offering assistance if you don't intend to do anything? Meaningless words are worse than not saying anything as they raise false expectations.

Melt, or is it your famed acerbic tongue that flames them.

That's an even better response GoldFlyer and caused my tea refill to do exactly that to my keyboard....

Help, IT ....(holding his laptop upside down trying to drain the watery contents)...

Now, quickly back on topic, I subscribe to the theory of alphabetical op up's - being towards the end, I have had fewer on QF than BA or CX.

Interesting theory. The most op-ups I got were from Asiana....

I think op-ups are more likely from J to F than from WHY to J. At least that is for someone (or two) with WP cards.
