Award Booking problem CNS to HKG

I keep getting this message
The selected flight could not be added to your itinerary because:
1 The requested seats are no longer available. Please make another selection.
It's the first time I've seen the message above. I'm used to 'there is no availability' etc etc, but not this one. Is it because it is CX stock?

Thanks,

TravelTil

Hello TravelTil,

I have also experienced this problem when trying to book an award flight on MacAir and Air North - it happens regularly for me.

Regards

Yes apparently it is a problem with CX computer not talking to qantas computer!

Ooooh! Looks nice at first glance. Will have to have a nice little play with it and see what my real thoughts are.

Great to see they've added it in for ex-Australian Itins.

Looks pretty but lacks a lot of destinations

I reckon its not finished and we are being guinea pigged

Big feature that I would like:

Point calculator for Earning Points extended to oneworld flights as well. As of current, you can only calculate the points you earn on Qantas metal flights only (which ***** big time when you are trying to think about RTW - yeah yeah you can do it manually with paper and pen but who wants to?)

Not only that, but look carefully at Europe. Since when is Copenhagen located somewhere in Russia?

In addition, you won't be able to "book" if one of the sectors you placed in the flight schedule is invalid. I'm not sure whether this means there is absolutely no way in hell (with any connection plan whatsoever) that Qantas can get you from A to B, or whether there isn't just a direct flight (or one stopover) - now that's just plain silly. They should also at least indicate which sector is invalid and give you a choice to correct it or insert/delete sectors (at the moment, you can only delete the last sector).

Lacks YYZ for example, and when I try a RTW flight LHR-NRT-MEL-LAX-JFK-LHR with the best price option, it asks all sorts of questions about which specific QF/BA flights I want, and after all that entering, it says it cannot find a fare.

A bit frustrating. (I have tried several times choosing slightly different routes/flights.)

YYZ does exist

YYZ is there - just not labelled.

Is there anyway to book a higher fare class in economy using the new multi-city booking tool where there are cheap (ie N, O or Q class) seats available on a specific flight?

The only time I have been able to get a red e-deal for example is where I have happened, by chance, to select certain flights which does not have any of the cheapest seats left.

"Z" class showing as "economy" instead of "First" in award bookings!

YYZ may be there but is not usable. But worse the site cannot find a price for a simple RTW itinerary.
